U-Haul Moving & Storage of Lake Wylie

Very disappointed. I had a subpar pickup experience at the location in Atlanta and was under the impression I had until the end of today to return my truck at this location. I explained this to the staff at this dropoff location. This location called me around noon to tell told me my truck was due back at 10:30am. I told them I was unaware of this deadline and I would be there immediately since I was finished with the truck. When I arrived today, they insisted that I pay an additional $40 for “another day”. I did not need another day. I was just given bad information at pickup in regard to time of day deadline. Instead of showing me a modicum of grace and allowing me to return this truck , I left being penalized and paying an additional $40. It just feels like a money grab. The girl at the front desk at drop-off was incredibly rude. She did not attempt to help me at all. I would understand the penalty fee if others were waiting on this truck, but there was a sea of other trucks at this location. How difficult is it to show someone a little grace and make their day, instead of being rude and ensuring a customer never returns? I will certainly not return after this and will encourage others to do the same.

When Mike is on the premises you will get top notch service. On SU DAYS WHEN Mike is not around it's a completely different story. No greeting the customer, no thank,
had to ask for a receipt. I was told the put the trailer ' BACK WHERE I GOT IT FROM'. WHEN i explained that the trailer need to be backed into the spot , à male employee said he would detach the trailer for me. When I requested a receipt, I was told to come back when the trailer had been detach. Okay simple enough. I waited quite a long time for the receipt, 'the system was slow. The receipt was thrusted at me as if I had really inconvenienced her. She then Siad anything else. My reply was yes, I waiting for my, thank you, that indicates the end of the transaction.
My first thought was that, I'm never coming here again. But that's not fair to the wonderful employees that work their during the week days. So my advice is go during the week and you will have a smooth efficient pleasant experience. Mike makes you feel welcome. That Sunday crew are the worst.

Joy was an absolute delight to work with. The office was so clean and smelled wonderful. Love this location.
