Impressive: the local employees at the U-Haul office were helpful and kind and very accommodating! Thank you so much!

Picked up a 15ft truck - customer rep noticed it was dirty so tried to blow it out but blower had a dead battery. He wiped up the food debris from the front seats, but it was obvious the cleaner hadn't done anything to prep the truck. Then when I got home I realized I had to wash the inside walls cuz they were dirty with woodpile debris, and when I pulled out the ramp it was totally covered in rotten wood debris - I had to get the hose and wash it before we could load anything it was so dirty. THEN I put dehumidifier in for a couple of hours to soak up the rotten wood moisture. THEN in the morning I took out over a gallon of water that had come thru a leak in the roof - it was dripping in the seam on right front top and pooling in the front of truck storage box on floor and also a separate leak pooling up on the shelf (truck was pointed downhill but door under cover - I watched it drip/leak from roof seam. So for loading we had to put 2x4's in to put our stuff on.

Called U-Haul and the very friendly and professional rep told me he would discount for a cleaning fee after it was returned but that didn't happen and full price went on my credit card.

I told turn-in rep about the leak and experience, but he didn't offer to do anything except look at the leak later - don't take the Arizona plates truck until they verify it's fixed as your stuff will get soaked if it rains - like it does sometimes in Juneau lol. And told him they were going to do a discount, but apparently he didn't follow up on it either.

I love having U-Haul in town and lots of trucks there to choose from and friendly front staff, but more care is needed to clean and prep the trucks so look carefully before you take it home. And if they say they will discount for poor condition stay there until they do it.

And if you rent a truck, please return it clean - they shouldn't have had to do a major cleaning that now gives them a bad rating.

When a customer tells you up front that they are trying to get move done in one day but will rent it for three and try to bring back early, and ask if early drop off will get a refund for time not used, told yes. That's it. Not that it had to be dropped off that exact hr as pick up or an extra day charged. Plus, very deceiving on extras, does not say per day. Plus I think we got charged for an extra dolly not even requested. We only used it for 25 hrs with only 16 miles. Charged for 48 hrs. So upset, I will be getting in touch with BBB. I am buying a trailer to ever have to deal with uhaul in Juneau again.

Very convenient and stress free.

They drop off at your house, you can keep them there as long as needed, they pick back up and ship to your destination. We planned for about a month but they arrived in 2 weeks. While looking for a home we kept them stored at the warehouse (for a fee) and you’re able to access them pretty much anytime (think the hours are 7-7). The guys who work there are pleasant and helpful.

Pricing wise, they are a bit spendy but are comparable in price to AML and AML doesn’t store or deliver your belongings. I would definitely recommend.

Rented a cube to ship across the nation. Zach was personable, professional, and just seemed like an all around great guy. Deserves a raise!
