U-Haul Moving & Storage of Levittown

We reserved a truck and we showed up been here for over a hour and they ended up not having our truck. Slowest place I’ve ever been to not worth the headache. 0 stars!!

Who ever is 'checking' these trucks in needs to be fired.

I used this location to move on Sept. 08.2021. I got a 26 foot truck, and requested a dozen furniture pads.

The truck it self should not have been rented out.
- The brakes had to be pushed to the floor to work, and the parking brake, abs, and hand brake lights would turn on for extended periods of time throughout my trip.
- The cab vibrations and rattles were so loud and jarring I had to drive under the speed limit on the highway so that the mirrors weren't shaking so bad that I couldn't see what was in them.
- The headlights were dim, and basically pointed down.
- The interior cab lights did not work
- The horn did not work
- The truck had the wrong sized ramp that was clearly designed for a smaller truck. Due to it being too short, the loading ramp was basically at a 45 degree angle rendering it useless for rolling things up and down it. It was also off the track, and required 2 people to get it out (photo attached)
- The driver seat was like sitting on a basketball sized rock.
- The suspension was non-existent, driving it seemed like Jim Carry driving in Ace Ventura 2. I was bouncing all over the place, you would have thought I was off roading.
- There were portions of the skirt completely missing, which ruins the aerodynamics and reduces fuel efficiency.
- The hand truck and pads were missing from the back of the truck even though I was told they would be in there as I requested furniture pads for my rental. When I got to the location and opened the truck, there was nothing. just the bracket to hold the hand truck. I called and they wanted me to add miles to my trip to come back to the store. I said I will go without, but would like to take them off my rental so I don't get charged for not returning them, and also because I didn't get the pads for my original order.

Also, I did not request a hand truck, and did not get the pads I requested, but I was charged for both. I mentioned it at check in, and have not heard anything about it from u-haul themselves.

If I could give less stars I would.

I had a trailer hitch installed at the u haul on rt 13 .it works fine .but I just crawled under the car to extract a plastic bag that got snaged under my car and noticed a wire running the length of the car it was woven in and out of the sub frame.as I inspected it there were no tie downs brackets ,zip lock .of any kind and it was hanging down lose in 3 different places. First it I was installing this I would have used the other wires that were up in the frame to anchor to up and away from hanging down. Being that I am a mecanicly inclined person I tied it down .just an FYI after having work done here these are not professional s instalers so check their work .

This location wasn't able to accommodate my needs for my move but I went in and one of the service reps, Michael, was able to help me out so that I could get exactly what I needed even when everyone else said it wasn't going to be possible including the 1-800 U-Haul number. Michael set in motion what I needed and I am so thankful for his help and generosity. ?

Tremendous!! Michael who I have dealt with on two rentals in the past month was nothing but very helpful and professional!!! Turned a hectic day into a great afternoon with getting the truck rental quickly!! I highly recommend the U haul facility!!! Thank u
