I've used them quite a bit lately and everything was great we had no issues at all

I had a hitch installed here in Macungie, the installer had to take 2 parts off to install the hitch but instead of reinstalling them he threw them out! It was never in the contract that this would happen. When I noticed the big hole in my wheel well a week later I called and talked to the installer. He says they always throw them out, also said the customers don't want them back. But I wasn't given that choice. $93.20 in parts. The Manager Chelsea said the same thing then added the directions doesn't say to put those parts back on. She was very rude and said the installer only took off 1 part and said the muffler heat shield wasn't there. This is a brand new car and I had seen it there before I took it in. She said about reimbursing me for only 1 part and would install it for free, and added they may have to cut the one piece to make it fit. Sorry, I don't trust them with new parts that they couldn't reinstall the first time, and if they had to cut a brand new part would it be right? U-Haul has a video on YouTube installing the same hitch on the same car with all the parts being reinstalled. I asked her if she watched the video and she said NO! I'm not an installer. Video

Please! BEAWARE OF ALL THE PARTS ON YOUR CARS! THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON! The one part on drivers side rear quarter panel acts a part of the wheel well it protects the underneath from mud,salt, and rust possibly factory warranty. The other was the heat shield above the muffler that helps from getting the cabin hot in the summertime so your air-conditioning doesn't have to overwork. She also said the installer has been installing hitches for 10 years.

Update on U-Haul hitch CMF13409 on 23' Subaru Forester. Chelsea called me on 10/24/24 to tell me she would reimburse me for all the parts and being I had already had the parts installed, she would reimbursed me for the labor, the only thing I've lost over all this was 2 weeks of my time. One more thing, she told me they have changed the policy on the parts that come off to get the Hitch installed, they  will now go back on and if they can't be reinstalled they get put in a bag and placed in the rear of the customers car.
