The guy was super disrespectful, mocked my friends on there expired card getting declined before they had a chance to give the correct payment. And was super rude to my friend for no reason.

This review is about the u-haul call center and may not reflect the employees at this location.
I was not allowed to pick up the rental I had made a reservation for nearly a month ago. I work 2 jobs and am a college student in the middle of a move. My time is limited and I scheduled a pick up in advance so my move could be as painless as possible. When I made the trip out to pick up my uhaul last night, I encountered an issue requiring me to call the call center. The informed me I could not pick up the truck unless I paid a $350ish balance one of my relatives owed. They told me I was 'linked' to her. I had nothing to do with her or her move. I informed u haul of this and asked how I am related to the issue. The rep. Would not tell me and kept repeating it was uhaul policy to not disclose that. I could not rent the uhaul unless I paid off my relatives balance. I found this out the day of my move. I was furious because they would not tell me why I am 'linked' to her (maybe she put me down as a secondary contact without my consent?), and now I am forced to scramble to make a last minute reservation with a different company. Why would they not have told me of this issue when I made the reservation weeks ago? Why at the last minute when I am standing at the truck expecting to pick it up?
By the way, the YELLOW trucks from a competitor company are half the price, and incredibly accommodating as I was able to reserve a truck that night (8pm). I would highly recommend the company with the yellow trucks if you want a smooth and easy move over a company that threw a HUGE wrench into my plan and unnecessarily made a STRESSFUL situation much more difficult.
