I rented and picked up a van today. Ron was invaluable and patient helping me through the process. I really appreciated his help!
When I went to pick up the truck and keys the lock box and numbers were so rusted I was unable to access the keys. After being hung up on four times by U-Haul customer service representatives I rebooked at another nearby location. When I arrived I was unable to access the keys because they were closed. I went back to the original location and after gettiñg a ladder, flashlight and rust cleaner I was able after an hour to retrieve the keys. The whole process cost me me 4 hours of my 6 hour window and I missed the appointment to pick up my furniture. This was by fat the worst rental and customer service experience I have ever had.
Super easy experience. Signed up online. Already had the U-Haul app which makes it even more convenient. The unit was ready on the day I requested it. All the information was sent via email, text and within the app to ensure ease of access.
Placed online reservation the night before for mobile check in the next morning at 7:30. Arrive and stay to try and check in and get an error and told to call help desk. Called and she said that the van I had reserved had been taken in for repairs and that none of the other vehicles were mobile ready so I was SOL unless I wanted to relocate my reservation. I had reserved the van cause I had an auto appointment at 8 that morning so I couldn’t do that.
