U-Haul Moving & Storage of Miamisburg

I moved out of state and my storage payment became late to the point of almost going to auction. Fortunately, I was able to come up with payment the day before it was sent however, upon opening the unit, we were missing a bicycle. When we asked the employees, they stated oh yeah well we took it thinking that it was going to go to auction will put it back Come to the office tomorrow and will have it for you!! Unit saved Bicycle retrieved and my friend moves the contents because I’m still out of state. Come to find out they put it in someone I don’t even know his name And refused to give me contact information for said person and the unit again is getting ready to go to auction. Unbeknownst to me this so-called friend has left my storage at the same property. And just moved units. By the time I find out, it’s going to auction. It’s too late so I decide I’m going to pay whatever it takes to save my grandmas belongings and anything I have to remember her by. U-Haul cancel the auction the day before the end and tells me that it’s because the owner satisfied the lien and the unit unit is going back to them. I find a way to contact the person whose name the unit was in and he did not pay. Then U-Haul refuses to answer anymore questions once I state that. Then I realize their lying and the employees of U-Haul have decided they wanted what was inside the storage, which is very much against Ohio law and now forcing me to file a police report press charges and take this matter to court be careful storing your stuff here

The lock box containing the keys was almost impossible to open. We contacted customer service which were cordial and professional but failed to solve our problem. They wild not offer a replacement vehicle, monetary incentive or technician. Eventually I managed to open the box. Time was of the essence.
