everything was seamless from booking the unit to closing out the account. Staff was uniformly knowledgable, friendly and helpful.
The staff didn’t seem to know what they was doing on my first visit. I made a reservation and on the reservation it was showing free storage but when I got to the location after waiting 30 mins in a very long line Andrew B couldn’t find my reservation and I ended up leaving without a storage unit and have to return the next day to get a storage unit prior to my arrival. The next day I spoke with a customer service representative from at U-Haul her name was Yavonne and she said that I was supposed to be offered a free unit which I was not happy about paying $134 and got up charged of 48 to extend the U-Haul for the next day because I had no unit to storage my personal items and my reservation could not be found, even with providing Andrew B my reservation number and showing him my reservation on the app and which I completed the reservation for the truck and the unit I was there for over two hours, trying to figure things out and still had to return the next day to get a unit that was supposed to have been free. And furthermore, the unit that was given to me had a big balance beam or support beam inside my unit which hindered me from some of my personal things. I am not happy with my unit and the facility was so filthy I did not even feel comfortable with storing my things, but had no other options given The fact that my card was charged several times my funds was depleted due duplicate charges that was made when trying to complete my storage contract with Andrew B. Then when I came to move my stuff into the unit the freight elevator was broken, and we was told by staff that the guy would be there to fix it in 20 minutes. I waited for someone to come and fix the freight elevator me and several other individuals. This experience was by far the worst experience I’ve had with U-Haul and the the truck that was give to me was not at all suitable to be driving. The steering wheel had to be turned to the right for the wells to be straight as if the truck needed alignment. This was by far the worst moving experience I ever had. I would like a refund the unit and would like a refund for the extension on the truck because I would have been able to have things done in the time frame that was given if things would have went accordingly at the U-Haul Facility.
