U-Haul Moving & Storage of Midway

U-Haul car pick-up experience is fine at this location with friendly staff. Where the experience plummets is attempting to use the 24/7 drop-off WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY U-HAUL. Not only were we not informed about how this location BLOCKED their key-drop-off slot to the building with a metal sheet, we had to stand there in the middle of the night calling customer service to figure out what to do since we had COMPLETED THE DROP-OFF via the app and HAD PAID. I had to not only drive there to drop the truck off at night but when I had to DRIVE BACK the next morning to give them the key that they REFUSE to accept via their drop-off slot, they didn't even appreciate it. Quite the horrible experience after a long day of moving.

Don’t know how to put it, but the manager hear exudes competence in a subdued, casual way and that makes interacting with him pleasant. He seems to genuinely aim to improve your experience as a customer of Uhaul and is patient and efficient in his communication. If he were an employee, I would say manager material, but Uhaul apparently saw clearly what they had in him.

I received a low-mile cargo van, and it was super easy to extend its rental date online when it turned out we needed it a little longer. My previous rental experience here in late 2020 hadn't been great and it was really refreshing to have professional service this time around.

I had a horrible experience here. I went in to pick up a reservation at 10:00. But they didn't accept my bank card. I had cash and asked if I can give them a cash deposit. The manager comes over and tells me they only do cash deposits with people who were trusted. When I asked what that meant, he said for people who have rented before and earned a trusted history... (which relaxed me a lil because I have history since 2021... ) so I said yes, check, please. To where he tapped a few keys, showed me the screen real quick to show it was empty and said i have no history.... so next option was deposit money into my lady s account and have her get the rental... so I told the manager my plan and asked him not to give the truck away because I'll be right back.. (there was no body behind me, they were not busy at all. The atm was down the street only a few buildings down. Wasnt even 5 mins. But while away, i looked up my email and found all my history)
We get back, my lady makes a reservation and we go inside. I went in this time to show this manager that I do have a trusted relationship with uhaul and to let him know I found my history... but as we were walking up he asked my lady, oh your so and so, my lady said yes, the manager then says there's no longer a truck there, that as soon as we left it was rented out. Which was a lie, because STILL there was no one else there. He told my lady there is no longer a truck at that location. This dude needs to be fired. His attitude and what ever issues he's dealing with, he is not professional enough to be holding down a title like manager for uhaul. Oh, it also says a rental here is guaranteed or you will be given $50 . We didn't get either 1.
