I used this place as a drop off for my trailer as I live on Tinker AFB. We moved here from Augusta, Ks. The restoration place there was very friendly and helpful. After I loaded my trailer I realized I won’t need to return back to Kansas. Everything fit just fine. I called them back at the restoration place in Augusta and notified her. She said let me know when you get to Midwest City, I can talk to them to let them know to change to one way or something like that. As the way it is now I will be billed over 200$ should be 85$ when I pulled up at Midwest City Uhaul there was no one to greet me. I walked in the gentleman was walking from the back. I told him what needed to do. The young lady at the counter was not very friendly she said call traffic not who she said. So I had to sit and wait until finally they decided to call Augusta Ks and they explained what I tried to tell them. Then the gentleman disappeared. When he finally came back 20 min later, I asked him if he could unhitch the trailer, as I was tired from driving and wanted to also know how much longer.
Once again, customer service is non existent here. The trailer should have immediately been unhitched. I was blocking the lanes from moving and it’s just good practice to take care of customer. I called Augusta,Ks lady to find out if they had called her. She said no. It had been over 30 minutes and 3 other people have shown by that point. I just asked the rude young lady at the desk please inform the gentleman that disappeared again. I left. I guess Charge what you have to since noone called facility in Augusta. Ks. They said they would reverse charges and take care of me.
That was just plain nonsense to not be taken care of. Customers are tired that drop off stuff they have been moving all day and driving. Do not dismiss people or ignore them come back and communicate with them! I will drive out of my way now to a different Uhaul for future service. If I even use Uhaul again.
This is the second time I've used this location. The first time was great absolutely no issues and was able to use cash. The guy who helped me was great very helpful and super friendly. The second time was a different experience. A girl helped me she didn't seem as helpful but they were kinda busy. I wasn't allowed to use cash this time but had to use my bank card, that pays my rent and food for my kids. They asked how many miles I had to go I said I'm not sure and told them from Midwest city to norman , Norman to Mwc, Mwc to Norman and Norman to Midwest city so she put in the mileage. She never mentioned how much it would be if I went over what she put in. When I booked online it said I would have to pay $25 at the time when picking up then I would have to pay mileage. I had to pay almost $90 when picking up. Then I get a email a few days later saying I owe $45 and if not paid by that day or the next day they would charge $75. This is absolutely ridiculous. My bank notified me today that they took the $75 which leaves us $50 for food for two teenagers until next week. Tbh I don't think the mileage was accurate when I got it. Always check the paper work with them and the odometer. I shouldve but I was in a hurry because I was moving out of Norman quickly. I'm only giving two stars because of my first experience. I'll never use uhaul again. I do not recommend this location or u haul at all.
They seemed anxious to help. They were quick and efficient
while the people are kind (customer service then again) There’s never anyone inside the building. I had to wait 10 minutes before someone even came inside the building to help, and there was no note to tell me where anyone was. Just empty. I had to yell hello many times as well which was just annoying. Then returning the item was also the same issue- no one in the building and no note. Very disappointed and if i can avoid u-haul from now on, i sure will
