U-Haul Moving & Storage of New Port Richey

You basically have to become an employee to rent a truck here. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed for mileage and gasoline. Have plenty of storage on your phone and access to wifi because you have to download their app in order to rent. Then you have to check in the truck yourself by taking pictures and uploading them to the app. I was required to take a picture of the roof of the van which was at least 10 feet off the ground. Also, the license plate, the sides, the front and the back...and if the sun is shining in the wrong direction, it rejects the picture of the license plate multiple times. The whole process to rent is just too frustrating and time consuming.

We were 2 business dressing people that were trying to rent a trailer. They took a credit card a driver license and needed 3 references before renting to us. There were average day people next to us that were in and out in minutes. I was waiting for the question of what was my mother’s middle name next which I would have left.

I had a truck rental with an autotransport from SC that had mechanical issues causing me to be behind schedule with my move. The New Port Richey staff were very attentive, accommodating, and helped me with a plan to make my move back to Florida a lot less stress. The store was also very equipped with all the moving and storage supplies anyone could need. Highly recommend!
