Review:

I will never rent from uhaul again!! This was the 2nd bad experience I've had with them. It was the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. 1st of all, the truck that I ordered was not available and I had to go to a different location. 2 hours later I received the truck I ordered. The app stated that the 10' truck would be good for a studio-1 bedroom apartment. I was moving out of a 600 sqft 1 bedroom apartment. I had to dispose of most of my furniture because it did not fit into the truck. 2nd of all they did not have my credit card information that I provided and confirmed on the app. When the truck was dropped off, they did not use the correct credit card again. The truck was dirty and soiled the fabric on my furniture. I would not recommend uhaul to my enemy. Gross! Never again!

Review:

I just want to say I am absolutely disgusted with the service we received from UHaul. They wasted hours of our time and offered absolutely no assistance despite doing so. I made a reservation online a WEEK in advance. I noticed Tuesday my reservation was not on the app anymore. I called the 800 number for clarification and the woman I spoke to said my reservation was canceled because the North Attleboro location couldn't reach me. I didn't understand why there was an issue as I received every text and email after making the initial reservation, but regardless I reconfirmed my contact information and she uncanceled my reservation. I could then see it on the app and it was confirmed so I thought we were all set. My husband and I both work so using the self service pick up was really our only option. We come to pick up our original reservation for a 20' truck at the North Attleboro MA location and find that our truck was not available. We NEVER received a call or email from this location or UHaul to let us know there was an issue with our reservation. We AGAIN call the 800 number,now at 9 PM and spend 40 minutes with a woman trying to 'fix' the reservation. Apparently, the Android app has been letting people book one way trucks that are not available for self service. She offered a free upgrade for us which we didn't ask for but appreciated. When she needed the manager's permission for this, suddenly this was an issue. No upgrades on one way trips. So we say thats fine, we'll bring it back to N Attleboro. Now that is not even an option. At this point we would take any option. She sends us from North Attleboro to the Attleboro location. Once we get there, there are no longer any trucks available at all. We waste another 20 minutes while she tries to find something for us. She says there is a 26' truck in the Douglas location that we can have for a one way trip. As this would be a 30 minute drive, I confirmed she needed NOTHING else from us but a license. We get there and of course, there is an issue. We get our photos to upload and it now wants us to give two contacts for them to call. We made it clear it was 11 PM here now. We have a different woman call us and she told us over the phone that after receiving the license they needed two forms of ID verification. She said there were different factors as to why they needed different ID verification after seeing the pictures and the license but would not specify why or what those factors were. Strange to me how after seeing my husband is Hispanic they suddenly needed all this extra contact information. We asked if there was anything else we could do given the situation and she just said no without explanation as to what was wrong with his identification. She said the self service portal just prompts you for that, but I don't understand how nobody else nor any communication I received from UHaul for the whole week mentioned we would need this. How many people are available to be called at 11PM or why would I have a copy of my lease with me on my way to UHaul? This feels like things they should ask for when you first set up your reservation. Also, there was a completely random phone number they linked to my account which prevented us from logging into the website on our phones despite all the texts I received throughout the duration of all the calls we made going to my actual phone number. I am appalled at the disregard for our time. My husband and I wasted hours just trying to pick up a truck we were willing to pay extra for just to get it over with.

Bought a truck from them yearsssss ago, ran well and got a fine deal. Have to say my recent experience was just as good, there isn't much to say, but when you can have a regular conversation with people it makes the experience better. Thanks again
