U-Haul Moving & Storage of North Brunswick

I rented a truck at this location and was very disappointed to receive one with a flat tire. When I informed the employee, Talya, I requested a different truck located in another row behind another vehicle because it had a rearview camera. There were plenty of available trucks on the lot.

To my surprise, she admitted that she was aware of the flat tire but refused to exchange the truck. She explained that she was the only employee on-site and couldn’t leave the counter to give me the other truck. Instead, she told me to return the truck and take my business elsewhere. I frequently rent trucks from U-Haul, but this was my first time at this location, and I have never encountered such poor customer service before.

AWESOME SERVICE

I definitely do not recommend it if you want to stay on the road and if you want to reach your destination on time, do not choose UHALL. Even the smallest company provides better service than this company. The service is bad. There are no fire extinguishers in the trucks. Their service is bad. When we complain, no one cares. Moreover, they respond in a cocky manner. The North Brunswick branch has very bad service. I have rented a truck from another branch before and their service is also terrible. I definitely do not recommend UHALL.

I had the most horrendous experience with U-Haul, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. The truck they gave us was a death trap. It was barely drivable, swerving uncontrollably into another lane, which was already terrifying. But then, things went from bad to catastrophic—the truck caught on fire while we were driving it! We barely managed to get out safely, and I can’t even describe how terrifying it was to watch the vehicle we trusted with our move go up in flames.

We were stranded on the side of the road in freezing temperatures, waiting for help. U-Haul made us wait four hours before sending assistance, leaving us cold, stressed, and completely helpless. To make matters worse, the employees we dealt with were rude, dismissive, and acted like this was just another day for them. There was zero accountability or empathy for what we went through.

When it came time to address the situation, they insulted us further by offering a laughable $50 as if that could make up for the danger, trauma, and inconvenience we endured. U-Haul’s lack of safety standards, poor customer service, and inability to handle serious situations like this are shocking. This wasn’t just bad service—it was downright dangerous. Avoid U-Haul at all costs!
