No one answers their phones. Can't contact anyone for more information about just creating a rental. If it's this hard to purchase a service, how hard is it to contact someone to get an issue resolved if something does happen?
The employees in that office are 100%… without a doubt… the best team I’ve ever had the pleasure to deal with. From the time I got there to retrieve the truck from the young lady, all the way to the drop off with the young man. They went above and beyond to help me make it a quick process and so incredibly sweet! Very personable. I felt very comfortable and confident in their capabilities. Even the other employee there was extremely helpful and friendly with his customers. Do you know what that means to us who are stressed out from having the time crunch of moving? I wish I could brag about my experience more. I hope you will show them some appreciation and recognition, because they deserve it. Hands down… best U-Haul site ever! 10 out of 10… highly recommend!
I purchased contents from a locker auction at this facility via a reputable third party website that I’ve used numerous times. I knew you had 48 hours to retrieve the contents. I had an emergency the day I was planning on going to the facility. I called them at approx. 10:30 am on Jan 22 and let them know I was not going to be able to make it in the allotted time. I was told that it was not an issue and to come anytime the following day. I also inquired about renting a U-Haul trailer. The representative I spoke with put me on a brief hold to go outside and check the availability. When she returned she let me know the trailer was available. I told her I would be there on Jan. 23 before noon. I was once again told these plans would be fine. All was good until I arrived.
After almost an hour drive, I arrived at the facility. I let them know I was there to pick up the contents and rent the trailer. I was told that the transaction was cancelled because I was not there within the 48 hours. I tried to explain that I called but the employee kept saying that I did not call in there basically calling me a liar which I didn’t appreciate. (I have time stamps proving that I made the call.) Instead of looking into the issue I was repeatedly told it didn’t matter and the deal was cancelled. I spoke with the 3rd party website and they said the sale should have still been honored because I reached out. When you don’t show up, your account gets suspended. After I explained the situation the third party immediately unlocked my account. I’m really disappointed in the customer service at the facility. There was no effort into resolving the issue. The employee didn’t even bother to look into it. She just kept saying it didn’t matter. This is how I make half of my income. Things happen in life but I guess when you’re dealing with large companies like U-Haul, customer service is not that important.
Everything went great. The trailer was ready and in excellent shape. The pick-up and return were fast and efficient. The employees that helped me deserve a raise.
