U-Haul Moving & Storage of Northborough

DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR HITCH INSTALLATIONS! AWFUL EXPERIENCE! U-HAUL NEEDS TO UPDATE THEIR WEBSITE AND APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING SYSTEM. On June 13th, I scheduled through the U-Haul app and paid for a hitch installation to be performed at the 40 Bearfoot Rd location in Northborough on August 11th at 11am. After booking this, I received two confirmation/follow up emails from U-Haul confirming the install date and instructions for the installation. On August 11th, I showed up promptly at 11am for the installation. Upon entering, the gentleman at the front desk appeared confused and said that they do not do installations and haven't done so for over a year. I pulled up my confirmation email, and sure enough he was able to find my appointment but told me there was no one to do the installation and that I would need to call customer service (even though the part had already been paid for and confirmed as delivered to this site). Ended up wasting my morning driving here and arranging my day around this only to walk away without a hitch and with a new appointment at a different location in two weeks. We'll find out in two weeks if they do installations at this other location. Also, you're still able to book hitch installations at this location through the website so someone at U-Haul needs to fix this ASAP!

There was no one at the front desk to assist us for 40 mins. Someone finally came in claiming to be the GM. Was laughing about other people not doing their jobs, her staff not being present, and making small talk with guests with a line of people. Very unprofessional, and there was little to no concern about the 4 people who had been waiting for 30+ mins.

It's embarrassing how poorly run this place is. 3 sets of management in 3 months. Use to be some blond bimbo who was a manager but she was pretty useless too. Don't expect much help coming here. Definitely expect to encounter employees who have absolutely no idea how to do their job or even care to.

I would never use this location again. They are extremely rude including Sebastian the corporate manager. When we picked up our trailer there was 1 person working on a Friday. We waited a half hour to be helped and then had to wait for him to help the customer behind us before he came outside to hook it up which we could have just done ourselves. I called on Monday to change the drop off location and was told there is no way around changing the location. It has to be dropped off there. If we don’t drop it off there then we will never be able to rent from U-Haul ever again. We were willing to pay a fee if needed. Sebastian was unprofessional and rude. Worst experience I’ve had with U-Haul.

A little sloppy on Security and the automatic doors to the storage area failed three times during the first month!
