So where do I start the manager by the name of Elizabeth is so rude an nonchalant she's a liar
An I don't recommend this location to anyone
She's made a huge deal for me to keep U-Haul for several days as if it was foreign for one to do so she suck at her job; U-Haul in Olathe ks location on Rogers Rd

Review:

Unfortunately, my experience with UHaul on Labor Day 2024 was bad enough for me to take the time to write to you about it.
I showed up at 7:00 AM to the Uhaul Olathe @ Rogers Road.
I noticed a woman opened the door. She did not greet me. No problem. I went in and said “good morning”. She chose not to reply. She looked at her computer and asked for my name. As I was answering my name, she interrupted me to ask the next question. This happened three times. I then said “good morning”. She finally acknowledged and asked for my license. After she looked at it, she threw it back on the counter.
At that moment, I looked at her shirt to look for a name. I only found her title of “General Manager”. No name.
After that, she leaves the room without saying a word. She left to get the truck and trailer. She said nothing to me, so I followed her.
After she had the truck on the street, she gave me the contract and highlighted the rental due date/time, the equipment and the fuel tank capacity. She didn’t ask if I had any questions or offered to review how to use the truck.
She then went back to the office. I looked at the contract to see if there was an issue. And yes, the equipment info in the contract did not match the license plates on the truck.

I went back inside and told her “The license plates do not match”. Without apologizing for such a serious mistake, she just left the office, looked at the truck and went somewhere else without telling me what she was doing. Then she went to her office and printed me out another contract with what appeared to be the correct info.

She did not ask me if I had any questions about the truck or trailer. She just went back to her office. Absolutely zero customer service, which is the reason why I am now writing this review.

After I used the truck, I drove back to the UHaul office. I parked it in the drop-off area. I waited for a person to assist (per the sign). No one showed up. I then went to the office. The same woman (the general manager) took my keys and said, “you will get an email receipt”. I asked another UHaul person who stated, “yes, you will get an email receipt”.

I waited for the receipt for hours, but no email receipt arrived in my inbox. Only after requesting the email receipt from customer service, I finally received two email receipts:
1. In-Town Rental OUT (with incorrect equipment info)
2. In-Town Rental IN (with correct equipment info)

FYI – I called the office the Saturday prior to. Nobody ever answered the phone.

UHaul leadership,

Please make sure the general manager gets a class on Customer Service and follows the required steps to mitigate/prevent issues in the contract. I was the only customer at the time. There was no reason for her to make such a major mistake. I hope this issue gets addressed, as I don’t want other customers to deal with her attitude and serious lack of professionalism.

Review:

Employees do not care, they know they get low reviews so they can say/do whatever they want. Felt very bait/switched at the front desk. Got a lot of word diarrhea about how they didn't have anymore 'local' trucks to rent so they were giving me a 'one way' since I was 'bringing it back here'. What? Guy at counter said one way trucks are newer, cleaner, better maintained. If that's the truth, then I would hate to see what a 'local' trucks looks and runs like. The truck sounded horrible and every time I braked it sounded like a bearing was going out or there were no brake pads, just a metal on metal sound like it was grinding and down to the rotors. I drove slow and tried to time the lights. Only good thing I can say is that I made a reservation on line thru U-Haul app., no issues there and no issues dropping off, final price was within $5 of given estimate, I am assuming that's probably because of my extra mileage to go get gas.

Review:

Here I am again. The new good staff seems to be gone. The truck would not go into third gear. The maintenance man said that nothing was wrong with it. I couldn’t drive it on the highway.

This is a new review. I heard that they hired a new staff. The new staff is friendly and helpful. I rented a storage unit for a few days and returned a one way truck. Both experiences were good. I will be open to renting and returning here due to the new staff. Below is my old review of the long gone staff.

Oh how things have changed.

This is my old review of the former staff.
The return process was awful. They rushed us claiming it was about to be rented. It was one of the many cargo vans that sat unrented for days after the return.

Again, I am recommending this place due to the new staff. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
