U-Haul Moving & Storage of Orange Park

I went to help a friend with the storage unit. He’s in a 10 x 15 paying 175 a month you can see clear through to the other unit all that ceiling stuff is falling all over his things. It is so gross in here. I cannot believe they can rent this out, I would never rent a space from this place . I have a 10 x 15 in San Marco climate called. I paid the same amount. I told him he could have half my space. And get out of this dump

Drop off process was simple and employee was friendly

The staff seemed professional enough and were nice but this is what happened to me. I am sure I over paid for a trailer hitch at this location and the ball to go with it. It wouldn't install on my Traverse because the back bumper had been bent in and I didn't know until I had tried to install it myself. I paid 279$ for the hitch and ball. The manager never reminded me to get a wiring harness for the lights on the trailer. This is also my fault but looking back I feel like he knew he couldn't provide the wiring harness so never mentioned it in fear I wouldn't purchase the hitch and ball. Well I tried to return the product untouched but was told that they don't accept returns for trailer hitches. This is after I paid 116$ to rent a truck because I couldn't install the hitch so they know I didn't use the hitch because I rented the truck after the sale. Online policy states 30 days from the day of purchase and as long as it is in brand new condition. If I would have bought it online, anywhere, I would have paid much less. This is why the world is going downhill and you have to buy everything online now. There is no variety in stores and it's always cheaper online and you can always return things no questions asked. I will never visit another U-Haul ever again. My HVAC company I worked for never received payment from a job we did for another branch somewhere in Jacksonville or Orange Park also. U-Haul is no longer on option for me. As a matter of fact. After thinking about how they never paid their bill and never even tried, I will take back one star as I had given this place 2 because they were nice people. I had to move and money is very tight right now. They are the reason I am 300$ in the hole now after just having to move and they could care less. If I receive something from this manager stating I can return this item then I will give them all 5 stars back as it is the only reason why I am giving this location 1 star. It's not his fault another store didn't pay their bill and it wasn't he that told me I couldn't return this hitch but another manager I just am sure he'll say the same thing. I was given a number to call because someone called me from U-Haul trying to sell me installation of the hitch and that's where I got the number to ask if I could return the product. So they called me for more money and that's how I got the answer that I couldn't bring the hitch back. I'm a little angry right now and will never use another U-Haul again. Of course this could be reconciled and only a few days will tell. If I haven't changed this from 1 to 5 stars then you know no one ever changed their minds
