U-Haul Moving & Storage of Outer Hammond

If you want a trailer hitch done, the employees will decide if your car is worthy for towing or not for you. In this case, they waited until the morning of to tell me parts weren’t ordered for my hitch because “I shouldn’t be using a trailer with my little car anyways”. It’s rated for 2500 pounds. Anyways, now I’m out a bunch of money and backed into a corner. My only option is to take a small discount for a $300 rental instead. But hey, they gained an afternoon off and a person backed into a costly rental. Go figure.

Wish I could give less stars than 1. Booked a rental three weeks beforehand. We were assigned a truck for a move we have to Montreal and it had to be this day. Got the truck number and key instructions. Truck wasn’t there and dude basically told us they double book people all the time. Don’t waste your patience with Uhaul. I’ve never had a good experience with Uhaul and will never use them again.

When we were told they had one in Portland, 2 hours away, we called and they said we had already picked up our truck in Bangor… the truck that was not there. Ridiculous.

Made a reservation at this store INSIDE with the employee for the 26ft truck and car transport. This was for a move across the country. Day of pick up we get told it's at another store. Are you kidding?! Why would we have made it here then. The employees working were of no help and absolutely worthless. Thanks for making this move even more stressful.

Truck was on its last legs. Not much of a selection. Overcharged me by $40. No obvious place to return the key. If I could go anywhere else I would.
