Disappointing Experience with U-Haul

We reserved a 20-ft truck two weeks in advance and confirmed the day before pickup that everything was set. However, when we arrived, we were told only a 26-ft truck was available. While we were charged the same rental price, this was not what we reserved, and the larger truck made securing our items more difficult. In addition, traveling to a different state, the cost of gas will be more expensive.

Additionally, we rented two hand trucks and a bag of blankets, but no one offered to assist in carrying these items to the truck, which was about 50 feet from the office. While we are fully capable, a little customer service—such as offering help or pulling the truck closer—would have gone a long way.

The lack of attention to reservations and poor customer service was disappointing. We expected better organization and support, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.
