First, I want to tell you how terrible my experience with the app and the Cougar Blvd location was. I was using the app pickup option, but it would crash on every DL scan. So frustrating! Then the Cougar Blvd location was SO slow. It took me a half hour of waiting in line to finally get someone to help me. (I don’t know the clerk’s name, but he was in a wheelchair, and I hope he finally got the recipes exchanged with the people he was helping - dude, speed it up!) After waiting all the time, they didn’t have the equipment I reserved and sent me to the other location. If they had just let me know, I could have done that much sooner!
I tried using the app pickup option and using chat on the app - what a joke. They offloaded me twice and I had to start all over again. They bumped me to another department and then closed the chat again. It was horrible!
An hour later, I’m at the State St location, and Sydney (on the left) was fantastic! She had the hussle and, even though she was by herself (on a Sat morning? C’mon!) she found the correct equipment and got me headed out in minutes. She was fantastic, you need to give her a raise to keep her because she was the only good part of this whole terrible experience.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is well maintained and the storage unit are clean. I have found that it is the easiest to pay through the app or in person. Phone sometimes gets routed to the national site and I prefer to deal with the location
After reserving a U-Haul weeks in advance they were not able to provide the equipment I needed and I had to travel to another location that didn’t open until later. No compensation or assistance was offered even when requested.
