This location has potential to be really good but not when you aren't inspecting vehicles before the customer uses the rental equipment. I reserved a pick up truck for 03/01 and before I started to drive off, I did a 360 personal inspection of the truck to document any noticeable red flags so that I can address it. The rear passenger tire looked pretty low but I assumed the employees would truly care about their customer's safety.
Tank in the truck was less than half so I drove across the street to a Chevron to fill it up. As soon as I started to drive off, dashboard light came on for the passenger rear tire, low psi of 21 which I will provide a screen shot of. This was a huge red flag! My planned trip was to drive to Sacramento to pick up a load and back to Redwood City.
I went back and told Jose about the tire and he didn't seem too concerned about it. A leak in a tire is NOT by any means OKAY! He had his co-worker pump the tire which in my opinion was taking a huge risk. We made it to Sacramento and back to Redwood City and that was when AGAIN the dashboard light for the same tire came on with a psi of 27 ? and we still had some road to cover to drop the load off.
U-haul, if something would have happened to me and my family. Imagine the consequences U-hual would have had to face especially because of where I work which I won't disclose. Let's just say law suits aren't hard to come by when you work with attorneys.
I made complaints on the phone to their customer agents online nothing was done about it, no compensation or trying to find another rental that would be more secured and safe.
Looking at all the recent reviews this place isn't looking like an honest business place. I strongly recommend management clean up this location and/or face complaints on BBB.
