U-Haul Moving & Storage of Saco

Very easy process. People very polite. Truck was clean and low mileage.

This isn't a place i would totally send people this way.
I was told $19.95 as long as I had it back before they closed.
I had it from 10:05am to 1:55pm exactly driven 36 miles only.
Got this on a half tank of gas and filled it before I returned it.
They charged me over $130. For less then 4 hours.
This place(employees)need to be more accurate and more qualified for there job there doing.
Not a satisfied customer.

This is the worst and most useless location I've ever dealt with.

We rented 2 uhaul boxes so we could take our time packing. On the day the boxes were to be delivered they took our money and didn't deliver the boxes.

We tried calling and couldn't get to a live person so we drove back over and the person at the desk was polite but very positive they didn't have our money...then she looked on the computer and realized they DID have our money and we didn't have boxes.

4 days later the boxes arrive....4 days we didn't have money or anywhere else to put the boxes....

Unlike a storage unit you have to call ahead and ask for your boxes to be brought down for you to get to or go through.

Last SATURDAY we called and left a voice mail asking for them to call us back.... the weather is changing we need our winter clothes, I need to close up the cemetery and my stuff is in storage and I need to get it before the cemetery is locked for the winter.
Monday and Thursday more voice mail because they have yet to contact us.

Now it's Saturday and a week has been wasted because THEY won't answer the phones or return voice mail.....Another location said they don't answer when they're short staffed.

Your still charging me full price while holding it basically hostage because I can't get to it, even when I'm calling ahead a week

But who cares huh uhaul, you have our money and our stuff, we're at the mercy of your employees who choose NOT TO MAKE an effort

There are plenty of other storage options with plenty of prices.

DO NOT GET PUT IN OUR SITUATION by putting your stuff in uhauls hands

Way over priced storage units. They will also take money out of your account without notice if you get behind on a payment, so be warned!

Very underwhelming customer service.

The gentlemen that originally “helped” me rent my storage unit and truck was not helpful at all when it came to asking any kind of questions. Never explained how security for my storage unit worked. When I asked what the different tiers of Safemove* insurance actually meant he looked at me as if I had asked him for the quadratic formula of Mars.

He also did not explain anything about how the rental storage facility worked (I.e; singing in/out, etc.) Nor did he ask me if I wanted insurance for my unit and the property inside … he just assumed I didn’t and went ahead with the paper work.

Not to mention the brakes were going on the 26’ truck we rented. It made a god awful squealing.

I have used Uhaul-Portland for the past year or so (every other week to rent a truck for beverage deliveries) - always had a great experience. Not sure if this dude was just having a bad day or what… all I can tell you is it left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be recommending this Uhaul to anybody - even my enemies.
