U-Haul Moving & Storage of Saco

I recommend this service to anyone who has cargo or moving into Maine or around.

I needed a truck to tow a camper went in Wednesday and talked with Lance who was basically a one man show. He got me a truck for Thursday, put the right size ball on for me, explained everything made sure I was good to go and went back to basically running the place by himself. He was still there at closing time when I returned the truck ,he made sure everything was good and I was on my way. Great worker made for a great experience.

Truck had a lot of cosmetic damage. Truck had about 200,000 miles on it and ran poorly, especially on hghway where pickup was very poor and engine struggled to accelerate. At pick up I was unable to view text to authorize or dispute damage report in the office as there was no reception on my phone. Vehicle should have been taken out of service.. No one walked out to the vehicle to go over existing damage. Gas was only one-half full - should have been filled so I would not have to do it before starting trip.

They didn’t really explain much on how to use the truck and the car trailer I also rented when I picked it up. And they gave me a car carrier that had two really worn junk wheels on one side. They knew this trailer was going to be hauled with my vehicle on it behind a 26’ U-Haul from Maine to North Carolina and still gave me a dangerous piece of equipment. I believe I deserve some type of reimbursement for paying a lot of money for potentially dangerous equipment. Luckily I made it safely, but bad things could have happened on the highway if those tires popped.

Checking in and out was fast and easy. The staff is incredibly friendly and patient.
