I rented a U-Haul from this location, pick up went fine but it all went down hill from that. We ended up needing it longer then expected but I had work early in the morning and I was not able to extend it while I was at work. The truck was due back at 3 and at 3:08 my phone was getting blown up by employees, I was unable to answer so they went to voicemail. When I got off work I extended the trip. However even though it was extended and it said so online they were still calling me. Well we ended up needing it a additional day and we extended it online and it took the money but at some point the transaction got reversed but my additional money was not refunded right away so we didn't know that it got reversed. Well the next day i got a threatening text message and 5 calls at 8:19 am back to back saying if I did not that the truck returned on their lot in the morning when they opened it was going to be reported stolen. So keep in mind renting from here if you are 5 minutes late prepare for texts, back to back calls, and threatening text messages for no reason. Also come Monday morning (the MORNING i got the threating text) the last payment that was reversed ended up being reversed again and fully processed. So for the whole rental we never went over out time but got constantly harassed. Highly recommend another store because this one is ridiculous

Seems haven't together

My girlfriend and I rented a truck from this U-Haul location last weekend and had a poor experience. First, we were given a 15' truck when we had made a reservation for a 17' truck. Upon returning the truck, we filled the truck up with gas and matched the fuel level to what it was when we picked up the truck. Unfortunately we made the mistake of not taking before and after pictures of the fuel level. Later in the evening we were notified that we were charged a $15 fuel surcharge. We called U-Haul and submitted the fuel receipt, but were unsuccessful in getting the fuel surcharge refunded. I would avoid this U-Haul location as they are dishonest and will scam you if you're not careful.

Given the numerous U-Haul locations available in the Lansing area, I often explore different options when I require rental services. Among them, this particular location stands out for its exceptional customer service. If prioritizing customer satisfaction is important to you, this U-Haul store is definitely one of the best choices.

On one occasion, I encountered a mishap while using one of their rentals for a long-distance move. Although the issue was due to equipment failure, I appreciate that they acknowledged the inconvenience caused and compensated me for the lost time. It's understandable that when dealing with heavily-used equipment, occasional failures can occur. Thankfully, neither my family nor I experienced any harm. Nevertheless, this store took the initiative to reach out and assist me once my move was completed.
