U-Haul Moving & Storage of Terre Haute

Easy to rent on the phone. Had issues with the app, but everyone was so polite and helpful. Picking the truck up, driving it, loading/unloading it, returning it, was all very smooth. All equipment worked and the U-Haul team was great to work with both on the phone and in Terre Haute.

Would prefer to not wait in line to be attended to with a reservation while a casual 15 minute conversation is held about who still works at the location & who doesn’t due to the person in front of me stating their mother used to work there & they are shopping around for prices would be ideal.

Having to come back in just to stand in line again to remind your employee that the dolly I requested & rented was not in the van after standing in line to listen to that tedious conversation was not pleasant.

Waking up the next day expecting to be charged $46.07 as discussed & seeing a charge for the amount of $569.78 & being accused of scratching the van when I did not while it was in my possession for 4 hours is despicable. I returned the vehicle in the condition it was given, including filling the gas back up to Full. I have been a consistent customer of U-HAUL over the years & I’m very disappointed to be put in such situation. I have filed a dispute & I’m still waiting to hear back about this issue. I would prefer it be resolved expeditiously. If you’re quick to charge a customer such a hefty amount it is only right to follow up with your customer within an appropriate timeframe to rectify this issue instead of the manager of the location be dismissive on the phone.

The worst service I have ever had, trying to return a one Way rental, was completely ignored by the attendant. She proceeded to send another customer to inspect and take my truck before I had completed the check out the process. Very rude, and I will not rent from this location ever.

It was very quick and convenient to rent a truck, and the lady we worked with was very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. She made it a very positive experience for us!
