The team was great when I had to reschedule to the next day due to a snow storm. They even recommended a different truck that served me wayyyy better in the end.

Sydney, the manager at the Huffine location was a pleasure to work. Definitely was the best experience I have had with U-haul.

In speaking with my Uber driver in Bozeman, MT (and later a Penske truck rental representative), I apparently am not the first person this has happened to. I had reserved a 10' U-Haul truck plus car dolly to move my college graduate back to Oregon. I reserved the truck weeks before pick up, relieved that I did so and feeling all set. Then on the day I am to arrive, I get a voicemail from 'Reggie' at 9:19 am to confirm my reservation. An hour later, I get a call from 'Trinity' stating that they have no truck for me. I called back but got some central location that informed me, 'There is nothing we can do about this, but we do not have a truck for you.' I was upset, worried about having no way to move my son who was to leave his rental apartment days later, with no other rental truck company but Penske an hour away. The U-Haul woman put me on hold, then came back on to explain that the truck that had been reserved for me was in repair (it broke within the hour of the two calls? Right). Again, others shared with me that U-Haul does this -- like airlines, oversell or have no back up trucks, and then tell you that you that they do not have a truck for you. U-Haul instead reserved me a truck over an hour away, saying they would comp me the mileage. Upon looking at the breakdown, there was nothing comped at all. I cancelled that reservation, went the hour (shorter drive) to Penske, and was treated very differently -- given a free lock they happened to have on hand, a bunch of moving blankets, and validation that U-Haul is not the place to rent from. No more U-Haul for us.
