U-Haul of Crum Lynne

I reserved a van and when I arrived, I was told they didn’t have anymore. They gave me a truck instead. But told me I would pay the van mileage rate. They charged me the truck mileage rate. Also when I got there I was told my car was about to be towed. Apparently customers couldn’t park in their lot that day. No one told me this when I picked up the truck. I was lucky I arrived when I did. Next time I’m going to a different location.

The truck we rented was dirty: console, windshield, steering wheel. The check engine light and the ABS lights were on when started the truck. I asked the Uhaul guy about it who came out, checked the engine oil and said it's all ok and it's probably just a sensor. I had to drive 3 1/2 hours with this truck and it was very nerve racking as I didn't know if the truck was going to make it. It was very disappointing. I would never rent from them again.

When I arrived to start my drive the interior of the truck smelled like smoke and weed, had ashes and weed flakes inside of the side door compartment. Someone if not many people had been smoking in it prior. Very strong smell, Then to top it off the AC was running but none of the dials would work and change how the fan would blow and the AC never got cold to cool the cab off so I was left to drive around all day in the heat. Not a good first impression nor first experience with this location. Won’t be using them again.

This location has a large stock of vehicles for such a small amount of space. Strongly recommend using the U-Haul app for creating the reservation ... saves time.

This is the second time I have used this location. They always manage to steal some money from me,
