U-Haul of Grand Forks

Price for mileage is high .79 cents a mile. Fuel consumption on the Uhaul trucks are outrageous. I got the truck at the (F) I drove the truck 18 miles in total and put 5gals in to fill it back up. Uhaul should think of a more fuel efficient truck. Just thinking long term for Uhaul as a company. I’m sure the trucks at the location I got was in par with all the others. The location was good. Employee seemed he would rather be elsewhere doing anything else. He asked me how many miles I was going to drive, I said “20-30”. Following being charged I asked how many miles did he put I was going to drive. He respond with “what ever you said”… I didn’t see what he put in rather it be the 20-30.

The staff and manager were friendly and helpful with whatever questions I had. So much so, even though I had reserved a dolly and they ended up not having one in stock, they still provided me a reasonable solution for the inconvenience. Thank you for your help today. I’m recommending here

Even though things where messed up in the start the 20 feet truck I asked for was not available when I needed to move but all these people made it right from June 29th 2024 to July 3rd 2024. The names I remember are MARIA who is with traffic she fixed it where I had extra time and days to move for the inconvenience and also gave me a discount for having to use a 15 feet truck and then having to come back the next day after the 15 foot truck was full to attach a 6 by 12. I was greatful then and am also greatful now. Then Gunner for understanding I was going to be late on the pick up also Julie that transfer my call to traffic very kind. Also the gentleman at the time of pick up for the truck and the return for the 6 by 12 where all amazing CHAD and Aaron and the other gentleman that was on the other cash register helping someone else was the only guy working with Jeremy on the time of picking up that trailer end 6 by 12 and he even came around the corner to give a hug after hearing all that happened. After all this help and kindness to get me moved out to fargo my place was not ready and it was not until 6:30pm on July 2nd 2024 that I learned this information my place was still not ready and I will have to wait until 8/1/2024 and just trust that they will have everything in order or take a chance that they also may not have the 4 bedroom home available at that time or I will have to find a new home at this very short notice. So I called u haul and talk to CHAD and I just started crying it was too much I told him what happened he told me no worries I can just drop the truck off back to the grand forks location and he will not make me take the truck to fargo for drop off after all this happened to me then he said we will take care of you here and now it’s an in town rental so we might even owe you some money back I stopped crying and told Chad thank you I told him I will bring the truck and 6 by 12 in as soon as I got it unloaded. And that was around 1pm or so on July 3rd 2024. Life is short and I am also going through some serious health issues right now and they made my life easier EVERY PERSON NAMED HERE AND EVERYONE WORKING TOGETHER BEHIND THE SENSE ON THE ABOVE DATES DESERVE AND NEED A RAISE LIKE ALL THESE PEOPLE WHERE AMAZING AND WENT ABOVE THEIR JOB TITLE TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO TO MAKE MY LIFE EASIER. And I mean printers where down it was raining hard and the computers where going in and out I saw the screen just twitch out on Jeremy and the only guy that was working with him when I came to get the 6 by 12 on June 30th 2024. Yet they did their best to make it right they allowed me to do a video of what I signed to take pictures of it because the texts and emails was not going through. THEY ALL MADE IT RIGHT FOR ME THAT YOU ALL AND IF YALL SEE THIS. Remember I keep my word and I told you for your kindness. I will be asking your boss for a raise for you well here I am keeping my word. You all are great and amazing and thank you again for all you do. You really have no clue how your kindness helped me in this very hard time with my children. Needed a propane refill on my RV, they had me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Happy staff.

I went and rented a 26 foot U-Haul completed the transaction at the desk walked outside and it had a flat tire on one of the inside Dooleys. I told him they needed to fix it and they said oh sorry you’ll have to call the one 800 number to wait for record to come from another company and then Jack wouldn’t even lift it.
