U-Haul of Vestal

When I picked up my uhaul I told them my estimated miles was going to be 25. I ended up doing 15ish. Just a local pickup from one house to another house, then back to uhaul. The next day I was charged my estimated amount($85) AND an additional $75 charge as well. When I called and asked about it, they told me I had driven 81 miles, instead of my estimated 25. When I asked them to look back on the previous driver, there was no info for this driver.

Long story short, make sure you check the odometer and take pictures of everything before you leave with the uhaul.

Today I needed a dolly to move a washing machine. Don was helpful and courteous. He suggested a dolly with straps and then did the kindest thing, he said I'm paying it forward and it's free. He believes kindness will reward itself. Thank you Don!!

Piss poor process. Reserved a truck for 6am. Get there. I have no access to the key box. Can't get ahold of anyone to give me a code. What's the point of a reservation if you're not gonna do your part and leave a damn key. I expect a discount being up by 5am to be here with nothing. Truck was reserved for 6am, didnt get it until closer to 9 because... IT WASNT THERE. No one called or communicated that with me. Now I'm 4 hrs behind in moving with only today as an option. If I could give zero stars I would. As a manager you should answer your phone, or step down and let someone actually be a manager and there when needed. Get it together. So I had to edit this post. So in the contract it says I receive 50 if my reservation wasn't met, you only did 20 and that's your terms. Then you charge me for 2 10 dollies when I couldn't even get 1 cause you had 0. You told me to take 2 $7 and I'm charged for 2 $10. On top of it charging me over $15 for 2 miles over the contract of 15. I thought that was 86 CENTS!!!!. you need better management and a desk lady who knows the difference between 7 and 10. And FOLLOW YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT TERMS. I'll be there in person. And no you're not charging my card. I locked it until we speak face to face.

I wouldn’t even give a one star. My son has rented trucks from this location for well over 5 years. Online it says you can pay in cash with a $100 deposit. So that was his plan. He walked to the vestal location and was infront of some Amazon looking lady. Very rude and very unprofessional. My son always uses his debit card for rentals but instead he took the cash out of the bank. Well this wasted skin of a person laughed at my son in his face when he said he wasn’t using debit. You went a pissed off the wrong person today. Not ever renting from you again. My son asked to speak to the two gentleman’s he’s normally dealing with and this Amazon thing had no clue who those guys were. Also, hire someone to clean those trucks too because they are filthy and reek of smoke every damm time.
