U-Haul Storage at East Nob Hill

Save yourself the headache and pick a different uhaul location. This one will claim over and over that they called and left you a voicemail to confirm pickup/drop off times when in fact, they never called. You’ll end up getting corporate involved if you pick this location.

Great facility with indoor climate controlled storage. Convenient access for loading and unloading. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Special mention to Eli for going above and beyond expectations to help us in a difficult situation

Fast, friendly service for propane and less expensive than others

I missed my first appointment by accident and U-Haul wanted to charge me for service that wasn’t completed. The employees helped me schedule a new appointment free of charge, and I left with the trailer hitch, ball, and wiring, as paid for on my Subaru.

I waited at the shop 4 hours while the hitch was being installed and did some work in their waiting area. WiFi kicked me off once an hour, which was annoying, but not the end of the world (I hotspotted with my cell carrier for a couple hours).

The installer (manager) completed the work much earlier than quoted (end of day).
The employees were very polite and professional to me.
I would gladly work with this shop again.

PS Two customers got into a tense exchange with one another over one customer cutting in line (by accident?). Some racist comments were made (“go back to China!”) and threats made. One of the customers (Latinx) made a comment about being armed and the other (“Asian”) was acting tough/goading him on ?‍?. Employees were caught in the middle and did their best to deescalate the situation. I was <100’ away from the altercation.

All of the staff at this location are extremely rude. I have NEVER in my life seen a U-Haul ran like this (coming from a previous GM). Manager refused to respond to emails, phones are constantly forwarded, equipment return was extremely backed up. We rented truck, they handed us the keys, and said this is where its at didnt pull it forward. It was clear across the parking lot. The truck sounded rough and felt like power steering was going out. We were not greeted (during business hours) upon return of our truck we returned it ourselves never once did an employee come outside. I will absolutely never do business at this location again. It is sad to see a U-Haul location so poorly ran.
