Got in the truck and immediately noticed it said “2 miles to empty.” Frustrated, I then proceeded to drive to the nearest gas station and fill up. While filling up, the gas drained right out. There was a hole in the gas tank! Such a joke, won’t be back.

Rental department is nothing but a scam. They don’t work with outside insurance companies so even if you have great auto insurance that covers any vehicle you drive, it won’t cover theirs. You would have to pay cash for any and all damages. Typical cheap billion dollar company. The insurance fee should be added to the daily rental cost, walk in thinking you’re going to pay the $29.95 that’s advertised, you end up paying well over $100 because of all the fees and insurance scam.

Extremely disappointing experience. I reserved my uhaul 1mo ago and received an email the day prior that my truck would be in anacortes instead. When I called the meridian office I was put on hold for 50min before being lectured by the attendant that it was in no way their fault and they could do nothing to assist me, they were cold and condescending, informing me I was “lucky” the truck was only in anacortes and not anywhere further. They made no effort to find a compromise, provide a discount or assist in moving the truck up to Bellingham. I felt ignored, patronized and disrespected.
Thankfully Bill at the anacortes location was able to assist and with the help of the corporate office we were able to negotiate a plan to move the truck up a day early. It’s not common I have such bad customer service interactions I feel strongly enough to write a review, unfortunately this was one of those times.
