The people who work here are beyond incompetent. One person says one thing then another says another. They have to make it as complicated and as expensive as possible. This is a joke of a business. Literally go anywhere else. You’d save money going to Spokane or Lewiston given the rip of this place is. Renter beware. Do not recommend. Over $500 to take their smallest uhaul to and from Colfax from Pullman 5 times. That’s ridiculous.
This 'shop' has progressed I daresay a wee bit too far into the modern, 'own nothing, be happy' paradigm. When I sought to rent a truck from the establishment, I was rather dismayed, for I was denied service. You see, the requirements of renting include owning a smart mobile telephone, and as I have ridden myself of it for a simpler life without the problems an iPhone brings, I could not in any wise rent from them anyhow. I was in quite a pickle as I had to quickly move out of my rental home and into another, but the attendant refused to lend me any help. He said the boss is now requiring all employees to tell patrons to fill out the web form on their own Dog and Bone, assuming everyone owns one of them and has it handy. He cited privacy concerns for his rationale, saying employees were getting into stormy seas by scanning the ID of patrons with their cellphones, said patrons being suspicious of employees stealing their data. However, there are modern solutions for modern problems. If you need to scan cards, there are such devices to come in handy, the chief of which being called A SCANNER. Why not incorporate one of those into your business venture? Why not help out folks like myself and what not, showing a bit of compassion for those that seek a more purpose-driven life, those who will not bow to the modern idols of immediacy and self? You have the power to make a change and improve your systems currently in place. You can restore the integrity of your company to what it once was, a very present help to anyone who needs the extra boost in their moving endeavors.
In town rental....only went 70 miles & replaced the gas in tank (but they're saying I didn't). The truck clearly has a transmission problems because it revved multiple times when stopping & wouldn't go. The bill for rental from 11am to 7pm (same day) & 70 miles in a broken moving truck was $162! Clearly NOT the 19.95 rental fee LITERALLY WRITTEN on the truck. I actually made this same exact move with same type truck (from same U Haul location) 3 years ago with my son & that fee was around $70...now it's $162! Never using this place again!
Some of the people that work at this location are very rude. While moving here, we rented multiple uhaul trailers and dropped them off at this location. The man who worked in the yard acted inconvenienced that he had to go over the trailer with me, and was more so annoyed that I had bought uhauls insurance to cover the cost of the damage that had happened (a cap was missing from one of the ends of a bar in the back). We additionally needed a smaller trailer more recently, to move a family member out of state. While speaking to a gal on the phone, she had given me rates claiming a small fee per day while the uhaul would sit in another state. Upon arrival, the man working would not acknowledge the prices that were originally given to me and was very rude to me acting as if I was trying to 'pull one over' on him for pricing. I was disappointed in majority of the service that I've received from this place. Thankfully, we are done moving, and I hopefully will not have to do service with them again anytime soon. If you are looking into doing any business with this location, I would look into driving further out of the way to avoid it to go to a different uhaul.
