This was my first time using U-haul. Everything went very quickly and easily, thanks to the staff who organized everything.
Easy-to-use
Uhaul van was clean and maintained. Easy and quick check-in and check-out. No surprise fees. Good location.
I went in to rent a 15-ft truck to help a friend move. After filling out all the information we are just about to get the truck and this complete jerk of a guy named 'theo c' started insisting that the three people waiting in my car had to come inside, show their driver's license and a lease. I asked him why. It's me renting the truck not them. He then said he needed to verify it because I was actually renting it for them. I said no I'm renting it and I'm just helping them move. He said see. You are renting it for them. I said they are not driving I do not want them on the contract and nobody else is driving but me. And he just kept saying the same thing over and over. I asked one more time and when I asked, he then said forget it, we're not going to rent to you. There was Zero hostility on my end, my voice never got above the regular talk but he insisted I was being hostile because I demanded to know why three people not renting the truck had to show their driver's license and a lease. At this point, he then proceeded to call every single U-Haul in about a 20-mile radius and told them do not rent to me. Then he filed an alert stating do not rent to me as well. At this point, I contacted customer support and one of the lead supervisors. I explained what happened, told them to pull up the video and watch what happened. At this point they erase the alert, made my reservation, and we began to move on. Theo, then posted the alert for a second time, and at this point, they completely erased every bit of information to do with what just happened. Rented me the truck, and I moved on. This is what happens when people as little as he is, feels like they are in charge and have ultimate power when it comes to renting a vehicle LOL. The fact that he demanded three people show him their driver's license and a copy of their lease when they weren't even renting a truck shows you the type of person he is. This is the type of person that works for u-haul. They need to have some serious customer service training because that entire store sucks. Imagine being so petty that you took the time to call 7 or 8 stores and told them not to rent to a certain person because they would not give you the driver's license of people not even renting a truck
