So it was amazingly simple to deal with as a moving company. I moved from Illinois to Tennessee and it was super stress free using upack. They where the cheapest moving company I found saved us over $3,000 just on moving. I will say this my TV and dresser did not survive the trip but it was 100% on me and how I packed the container. If you are going to use this company I highly recommend investing in moving supplies like blankets and wrapping. And be very conscious of how you pack them in. This is a container that will move and bounce around while traveling and your things will shift and move in transition so keep that in mind.
Shipped household furniture, paintings, pictures and antiques from Tennessee to Oregon. Was worried about safety of the items, but since we were responsible for packing, strapping and cushioning, any problems would be because of us. Everything arrived in perfect condition.
It was a simple process of ordering online, being kept informed of drop off, chosing our pickup time and the ability to track the shipment across country was amazing. The shipment was delivered within the time frame stated and was picked up when emptied in a very timely manner.
The dropoff, pickup and delivery drivers were friendly, polite, informative and professional!
If we ever have to move again or ship anything across country, we will definitely chose the U-Pack Relo Cube again.
Booked and payed $4000 dollars for a move from VA to TN with them. They refused to deliver two trailers to my destination despite checking the address prior. They said the road was too narrow. We have full sized tractor trailers on this road everyday. The local office in Johnson City was timid due to them getting trailers stuck in other locations. They said they will credit me $600 to help with the cost. The uhaul and the movers will cost 2x3 times that to get two full trailers moved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Update. I had to find a former employee come look at my property and he said we have one of the easiest driveways to fit the trailers in. He called the supervisor for me who had just come off of vacation and informed him of the situation. I then had to call back again speak to the supervisor who said he had no problem trying to deliver the trailers. Needless to say the driver who was delivering them said it was and easy job and not only fit one trailer into the driveway he fit both trailers side by side at the same time. The moral of the story is this. One bad supervisor held up this whole process. If it was not for the ex-employee who made a call for me I would have been out of pocket thousands of more dollars. The company after all was said and done said they would refund me my rush fee ($500). I will let you know if they follow through.
Amazing service!!
Only slightly more expensive than a traditional uhal or pensky truck rental, once gas costs have been factored in.
In addition, it completely takes away the stress of driving a big, slow, clunky, truck filled with precious belongings, all the way across country.
The coolest thing about the service for me personally, was the freedom to now ride back and enjoy that trip and memory, with my family.
The slight cost difference is completely worth it!
Additionally, the truck drivers and the customer service provided was absolutely unmatched!
