Unique Moving and Storage

This is the second time my husband and I have used Unique! Both times we had a completely different crew and… I HAVE ZERO COMPLAINTS! They have all been caring, concise, and careful with our things. They also do not waste any time at all! Thanks so much you guys ??????

BEWARE!!! Using Unique Moving and Storage services has been a nightmare. A resolution to this problem has gone on since March 2024 and yet they still refuse to compensate for DAMAGING our items, horrible customer service, but most importantly our damaged and STOLEN items. We have been in contact with Tim Sherman and Rodney Watkins.

From November 2, 2023 packing up, loading, and moving Mr. Reid’s items out of his home to the merchant’s storage unit, storing them to then unloading and unpacking the items
March 1, 2024- Mr. Reid’s belongings were brought back to the residence to be unloaded and unpacked. The items from November 2023 to March 2024 were always and only in the possession of Unique Moving and Storage and
Kelley Reid, the customer, never signed any documents about protection plans provided or that “all of the goods
and services were delivered in good condition.” Regardless, the contract does not cover theft, therefore the
contract would be null and void. Mr. Reid contacted Camarillo Police Department RB#: 24-27391 on March 4,
2024 reporting the stolen items.

The merchant’s supervisor and employees informed Kelley Reid that the previous crew that packed up and
moved his family out had been fired due to not being highly credible people: beating girlfriends, drugs, theft etc.
and they acknowledged they know the two individuals who stole the items that were never received. Kelley Reid
asked if the merchant would file a police report and the merchant responded that they would not now that the
two individuals whole stole the items are dead: fentanyl overdose and the other hung himself.

All Mr. Reid’s items were promised to be stored and provided back to him in the same condition as they were
initially. The merchant is responsible and liable for stolen property due to their employees and all damaged
items from their storage facility and transport. The merchant also records all of their phone calls to prove items were stolen and not missing.

Mr. Reid did contact the merchant the day of delivery and took pictures as did the merchant. The merchant also
has video footage of all of the items prior to packing and moving out as Mr. Reid wanted everything put back the
way it was: as the merchant handled the packing, loading, transporting, storage, unloading, and unboxing all of
his items. This shows proof of Mr. Reid owning the damaged and stolen items.

We have been speaking with a lawyer and will continue to as Unique Moving and Storage wanted us to allow them to file an insurance claim- their insurance will NOT COVER DAMAGE in their storage facility or THEFT.

We lost over $6,000 during this move due to our things being damaged or stolen.

All around service was great.

Unique Moving is so easy to deal with. A little bit different for me, an old fogey, because all of our communication was on text and email but it works out great. I am sure I could have talked by phone if I had needed it. They were responsive and very nice. I felt comfortable through the entire process. I really liked how clear they were about the costs to do my move. I recommend you contact these people for any move. Ours was a, somewhat complicated, local move with multiple locations involved.
