Zero stars. This was the absolute worst moving company I have worked with and have ever heard of. The complaints are the same as the other reviews I have read. The loading crew was pleasant enough, but they did do the bait and switch and asked for more money once most of our belongings were loaded. A lot more. They did not deliver when they said they would. The driver showed up alone with no one to help him unload. He spoke little English so used a lot of pantomiming. I think he was Russian. He dropped most of the boxes as he unloaded the truck alone for 3-4 hrs until help arrived. 30-40% of our belongings were broken and had to be thrown away. And many items lost altogether. He was going to leave without delivering our beds and tried to tell us that he didn't have them. We finally got up into the truck ourselves and found them mixed in with another load. That is probably what happened to the other stuff that was lost, but who knows? The customer service representative was beyond rude and actually yelled and threatened me over the phone. Then sent an email to say we should all calm down. DO NOT, under any circumstances use this company. We would have been better off renting a small trailer to haul just our personal items and sold or donated everything else, then bought new in our new location. It would have been cheaper. If you value your belongings, do not let this company into your home.
First thing they play bate and switch. Give a estimate then wait till the last minute then tell you all the extra things. Complete rip off. Don’t let this place fool you. They lost things that couldn’t be replaced. They stole things and just said turn it into insurance company. I’m sure the insurance company will love to hear this one. And I’m going to call and let them know. No matter what they say. Run like hell or you’ll loose all your things like us. Now we must take them to court. I’m filling a theft report with local police DONT USE THIS RIP OFF COMPANY
Save yourself.....do not hire this company.
The day of our move, five people showed up at our home. The lead guy was less than pleasant. He immediately came in to our home and informed us he was going to charge us more money. We explained to him that we were finishing packing the few items we were using from the day before and that day and we had plenty of boxes sitting on the floor. He ignored these comments and proceeded to tell us repeatedly how this was going to be more. After talking with the home office, our moving quote went up over $3000. Considering we were traveling by plane the next day to our new home, we very well couldn't say no. We reluctantly agreed to pay the full amount and contracted with the company for the full move.
The lead guy was very rude to me. There were comments made numerous times throughout the day to me (while I was nursing my child) or when trying to get information out of him. It was clear to me that he had a problem with women. Our bed was folded in half and shrunk wrapped. When I asked him about this by asking him if this was the best way to pack this, I was told 'Well, we could just leave it here'. I don't know how he is in the service industry with an attitude like that.
Our door was left open all day. It was below 30 outside and even while they were in the truck or not in the house, the door was left open. Our furnace was on all day long.
This started a whole comedy of errors were we were told different things from different people, our goods were split in a shipment (and the company wasn't going to tell us this), things were damaged, customer service was non-existent and even to the point that our goods were being held until we sign a paper that wasn't legal.
We finally got 95% of our goods after the second try. To end this whole nightmare, we did ask for compensation from the company along with reimbursement for our damages. The company did agree. Again, they wanted us to sign something stating we wouldn't 'tarnish' their name. We refused and amended that document. After asking three (3) times about the goods that were not ours and some one else's, we finally received a communication asking to let them know what those goods were. As of this date, we still haven't heard what they are planning to do with them.
In my opinion, this is a joke of a company. There is no customer service. Every person there talked over my husband or I, interrupted us, condescended us and essentially tried to take advantage of us. They mentioned that they were concerned we were going to do a chargeback on our credit card. I'm not an idiot. I want my stuff first.
This company had ample time to figure out how to get all our goods to us. We were told repeatedly that the reason it was a split shipment was because our contract changed. But our goods sat in a warehouse for two weeks together because we received items that were loaded the first day and items that were loaded the second day together!
They come up with documents and want you to sign them. They throw in clauses asking for consumers to give up their rights. It felt like they were trying to bully us through the entire ordeal yet there were holding our goods.
Here's a crazy thought. Rather than asking consumers not to 'tarnish' your business name, be a good business!! Do right by your customers.
I was supposed to have delivery by weight, when Valiant Movers arrived they said it was by space, which ended up costing me 2000$ more than what I had already paid for. Ok awesome, I need to leave the state tomorrow so take my stuff. Well........ it has been 2 months and I still don't have my stuff that was packed in Washington state and supposed to be delivered to Florida. I have called and emailed so many times. They argue with their 'customers' and refuse to tell you what is going on. Most of my emails were answered but the last 3 emails have gone unanswered.
**Update. 2 months to the day after they took my stuff it was delivered. All the boxes are smashed.. haven't opened them yet as they delivered right for I had to goto work. But I'm glad to say I got my stuff!!! ????
I can’t imagine any company being worse then Valiant. They “ lost” / stole around 20% of our belongings. The furniture that did show up was all damaged. So badly so we had to give it away - take some to the dump. It has cost us thousands to replace and we have been asking for over a month for an instance claim form which it looks like they have no intention of sending. Once they have your money there is zero customer service. Horrible- horrible people
