Valley Wide Movers Customer Reviews

Review:

We received a recommendation for Valley Wide Movers recently from a friends and COULD NOT be more pleased. Our crew, Zig, Collin, Mason, Jenelle, and Liam were absolutely amazing. From start to finish they were professional, pleasant, engaging and extremely helpful. They asked us to walk them around each house to fully understand where everything was. They worked so well together as a team, and made everything go so smoothly. They took their time and wrapped/secured each item (big or small), ensuring that nothing at all was damaged. They navigated larger items in and out without causing any damage along the way. Prior to moving day, we disassembled some larger pieces and after we arrived at the new house, this team offered and did a great job RE-assembling those pieces. And even when we wanted to move already-placed pieces, they were so eager to help and re-locate those pieces. I honestly could go on and on about how wonderful each of them was, and how they made an otherwise stressful life event so much easier, but the main point is that we have already been singing all of their praises to all our family and friends for their own future moves. That is the best indication of how pleased we are with this crew. We will definitely be contacting them for any of our future moving needs.

I used Valley Wide for a small job moving (a lot of) furniture around. They were on time, professional, very nice and very efficient. Definitely considering for a long distance move in the future

I unfortunately had a very bad experience with Valley Wide. They moved me from one house to another just a few miles away. They sent a bunch of kids to move us. The wire racks in the basement had to be taken apart. We loaned them our rubber mallet. They broke the handle on the mallet. When they put the racks back together in the new home the shelves were not level. I had to ask them to fix them. If I did not look at them they would have left them that way. Before the move I told them several times about my 2 OLED tv's and how they needed to be careful and handled properly. One was broken during the move and was quite obvious it was broken but the kids just left it. We had the original box it came in so that they could use it for the move. We store the boxes in our basement. We always keep boxes of electronics just for this purpose. Then one of my special OTT floor lamps base was broken. The base is metal over about 2 inch concrete. The concrete was broken in 1/2. It had to be dropped. Again, the kids just left it on the floor and when I went to move days later it is when I found it broken. It is totally unusable and now at Einfault for recycling. I had this lamp for a very long time, 25 years. I am also missing an ironing board and a needlework I was working on for the past 2 years. the needlework was on a 2ft by about 10 inch frame. Ironing board and needlework are hard to miss. In between I had a death in the family and 2 holidays and 2 illnesses to contend with so I am still not finding things 2 months later when I go to look for them. I moved to a smaller home with no basement so I can only look in so many places. I am sorry to have to write this review and I hope other customers don't have the same experience I had. Needless to say I am not a happy camper for the price I paid for the move and the aggravation I have had since. I am in my mid 70's and my husband is 80 and we are now in our forever home and will never move again, Thank Goodness.
Forgot to add to this debacle that a chip of wood was broken off of my husband deceased brother’s antique dresser. This antique has been in the family for many year. The chip was not there before the move. It is in a very noticeable place and we use that dresser every day. I very rarely do bad reviews. This one was one that I had to do. It obviously was not just one thing which happens in a move but all of these should NEVER happen during a move where you pay good money to have kids move you and they don't take care of your possessions.
The move management company who I also hired recommended Valley Wide and is aware of all of my above claims except the Craft Needlework, that just popped up. I gain nothing from doing this review except being honest and making people aware of what might happen. I am happy that other people had good experiences. I however did not and if it happened to me it could happen to you. Moving is a stressful experience, I have done many in my lifetime and expect one issue I however did not expect all of what I said in the above comments.
I got a call from one of their employees that they will be bringing over a tv. I had no idea what was being delivered. As I stated above I knew I would not get full price for a 2 year old TV. I emailed and said that I would have taken whatever money you would give me for the tv and I would have added to that and bought what I had before. An email from Dano said he could have given me 16 cents per lb for the broken tv but instead got us what we have now. I was offered to get the receipt and I accepted. I was told it was mailed out mid November. It is now January and I still don't have it. I was emailed a copy but Target told me that will not accept. So I have what they thought was OK for me instead of calling and talking to me and asking what they could do to come to some agreement to make me happy. Everything was done through email. Calling and talking to the customer adds that personal touch. You get more happy customers and more customers through word of mouth.
