Crooks and criminals. They use every dirty trick in the book to rip off their customers, including holding goods hostage unless contract is changed. Jaw-dropping dishonesty from sales, dispatcher, pickup and delivery drivers.
They stole my large TV and massive pieces of furniture like king size bed, bookshelves, and a table simply went missing.
Lie #1: Volume of goods: Ignoring my precise inventory they inflated the volume by 40%. After loading the truck, I turned out to be correct. But they said 'you already signed, we won't reduce the price now!'
Lie #2: Hostage situation at delivery: the contract said no Shuttle or Redelivery fees. After taking custody of my family's belongings, the dispatcher tells me bluntly that I had to pay an extra $600, only in cash. This seemed like a well-practiced drill for them.
Lie #3: The movers flatly refused to carry some boxes upstairs claiming that they were too heavy, and company policy allowed them to refuse carrying it upstairs. However, nothing in customer's contract mentions anything to that effect.
Lie #4: The delivery movers did not reassemble a single piece of furniture even though it was part of the contract.
Lie #5: Packaging Fraud - The furniture was supposed to be disassembled and packed by We Move You (part of the base price). They charged me specifically for mattress boxes and I paid for it fair and square. When they arrived at delivery location, they were wrapped up in plastic wrap that was torn and tattered, with substantial water damage.
Lie #6: The company repeatedly claimed that their drivers are employees. But the pickup and delivery drivers both insisted they were independent workers that were subcontracted by We Move You.
Beware. It has been 3 weeks since we have moved. This company not only changed the delivery time and day of our items three times but we are currently missing 8 boxes and 5 pieces of furniture. This company has made no effort to return our lost/stolen items nor have they given a clear reason of why or solution to this huge HUGE mistake on their part. We moved 6 hours away with a baby. Trust me. We are devastated. These items do not have a $$$ equivalent. These are memories. Do not use this moving company. They don’t care about negative reviews, legal action, nothing.
I will update if the company decides to fix these MAJOR issues. So far. Nothing. They have even started not answering our calls. We have filed a formal complaint with the BBB.
thieves/liars - was charged 1500 more by the original movers (travel van lines), even though gary the customer service rep said they would be going by the original quote of $3499. the exectutive sales guy (steve) sounds pretty convincing too - after they get ya with their trust, they don't call you back. plus it takes forever to call back. daisy seems nice, but i think she's the middle person in this disaster - i feel she is honest, but who knows anymore.. dean, the driver comes off as genuine, giving quotes from the bible - telling me his guys are honest, and that he was very sorry for any anxiety that was caused . my suitcase was empty - i believe my clothes in that suitcase were stolen because eash case was loaded with clothes. tool box was in there but no key! thats my husbands job!! stuff is literally packed in our unit - we had to rent another unit just to make more room, but there is still an enormous amount that is stuffed inside - we cannot look in there until its time for a final move, but for now we will have to accept that our stuff is ruined, stolen or worse....some of our stuff we could get to the wood is chipped, table legs broken, vacuum wheels broken off. we have a roll top desk in there that isn't even ours !!!!!! i will be writing a new review once we do our final move. stay in touch, and if anyone is missing a roll top desk, its in our unit !
DO NOT USE!! I rarely write reviews, and I can't take back the poor decision I made by choosing this company, but if this helps someone in the future, then it's worth it.
This was a NIGHTMARE experience that started off as poor customer service and worsened to many missing items and ZERO response.
The sales guys (Johnny J.) are great at getting you in, easy to start with, etc. But then when it comes to fixing problems or providing the expected customer service, they are useless and full of BS excuses.
The organization and communication with this 'company' is horrendous. They don't respond to emails, they schedule times and dates and then cancel them. I received notices of pickup and delivery at the last minute with no prior communication. There seems to be only one person (Daisy) handling dispatch or questions, who is either overloaded with work or just incompetent. Either way, don't expect what normally passes as customer service or responsiveness or basic courtesy.
Prior to delivery, I sent a list of complaints and received no response. After a HORRIBLE experience with delivery, and realizing that many of my things were completely missing or damaged, I again reached out several times by phone and email, and no one responded or answered, or called back after messages. The guy who unloaded my truck basically forced me to sign papers before unloading, and then completely ignored me when I asked about items that were missing. I know I was not smart by signing first, but I was scared I'd never see my things, and I was most definitely taken advantage of.
I wont even get into damages on my things, or the state of the items crammed and stacked into the huge truck. People's lives and trust are in there, and there is absolutely no regard for that.
What's most appalling is that someone should at least answer my enquiries or TRY to figure out what happened to my sentimental and valuable things. That doesn't exist, and they cannot call themselves a legitimate business.
In short DO NOT USE this company, and be very smart and meticulous about anyone you choose.
You will pay more than they quoted. Just remember this post when you book with them and it happens to you.
This company is HORRIBLE. We were moving from CT to TX. They quoted us X amount. Didnt say anything about wrapping the couch and or boxing the TVs, they said it would all be taken care of when movers showed up. We were supposed have our stuff picked up Apr 27th. The company called at 3 and said they were 3 hours behind and wouldnt be there til 6-7ish. We said ok. They called at 6:30 and said they would not be at our house til 9ish. We scheduled pick up following morning at 730. They did not show up til 8am, in a rented moving truck with someone else's log. We went over the check list and had a discrepancy because again our tvs were not boxed and or couches/beds wrapped. They quoted us another $500-$600 to take care of it all. We said how about we do it ourselves cause itll cost $100, issues started. We tried to call the sales man that been handling our move and he was GHOST. The moves said they got a call from 'headquarters' and were told to leave and not return. It got so bad, we ended up calling out lawyer to try and get our $1,000 deposite back. When our lawyer finally spoke with, i think his name was Bob, he stated he was 'Leaving the country on Monday' and wouldnt be available to speak anymore.
This 'company'is a dam joke.
