The rent increases are absolutely insane here. I moved in last March and my unit cost around $60 at the time. They have increased the rent twice just since I've been here and not just a little bit.. it has been less than a year and I now pay $120. That's double the price... That's absolutely insane to double the price of your units in less than a year. They literally only have two parking spots for the storage units and absolutely nowhere to turn around if the gate is closed, so if there is 2 other people at their storage units or even just 1 person in a U- haul you are screwed. At least the lady at the front desk is nice
CLEAN AND FRIENDLY
Don’t rent here unless you like walking around in homeless trash and having them ask you for a dollar every time you walk by.
Received a letter from West Coast Storage in the middle of winter notifying me of a rent increase. This does not include the added cost of mandatory insurance you must purchase if you don't already have renter's insurance which covers storage damage.
The increase is not 5, or 10, or even 15 percent, which may actually be reasonable. The increase is 83%. My bill has increased from US$72.00 per month to what will now be US$132.00 per month, plus the aforementioned insurance.
EIGHTY-THREE PERCENT
This is the least convenient time of the year to move belongings somewhere else due to winter weather in the PNW. And never mind if the reason your things are stored in the first place is that you've had go hundreds of miles out of town for an extended period.
The letter mentions 'rental market conditions'. This means, 'we have you over barrel at the worst time of the year and we know it. So we're going to price gouge you, and laugh all the way to the bank.
Can't begin to describe how furious I am. EIGHTY-THREE PERCENT.

It seems incompetent to me that a business would not be able to review its own records to find who's rent has increased and by how much. I've included more photos to document the increase for the company. If one subtracts what was my previous rental rate of $72.00 from the new rate of $132.00 the result is $60.00. If 60 is divided by 72 the dividend is 0.83, or 83%.
Lastly, another reviewer was complaining about 'homeless people'. Unhoused people need an affordable and accessible place to store their belongings while they're struggling through whatever has befallen them. Have some compassion.
