We sold our home in Sonora and moved to Roseville, and from the very first interaction, Jake (I think he is he owner) made the process painless and stress-free. He was able to give me an accurate quote just by looking at Zillow pictures—which is unheard of. Not only that, but he was upfront about costs, worked with me on scheduling, and delivered exactly what he promised—no hidden fees, no surprises. What he quoted is exactly what I paid. That kind of honesty and transparency is rare in the moving business.

I actually got a quote from another moving company that claimed to be local, but they were not—they were actually based in Modesto and tried to charge me $4,000 more than what Workhorse charged due to mileage fees to and from Modesto. In contrast, Workhorse Moving is truly local, based right in Murphys, and that made all the difference.

I'd also like to give a huge shoutout to K.C. and Eric—the guys who actually handled our move. Our Sonora home was a two-story house with narrow stairs, and they hustled hard to get everything loaded in just 2 hours. And this wasn’t a small move—it was a 3 bed, 2 bath, 1,300 sq. ft. house packed with furniture. They tackled those brutal stairs like pros and made it look effortless.

Not only did they deliver everything to Roseville in a single day, but they also disassembled and reassembled our large custom bed frame and couch without a hitch. These guys didn’t just move our stuff—they handled everything with care and professionalism.

After using four different moving companies over the years, I can confidently say Workhorse Moving is the best I’ve ever worked with. If you’re moving, hire them—you won’t regret it.

I rate Workhorse's moving service a 5++! Jake and his team completed a big home move for us from the Bay Area to Angels Camp. Due to our schedule we had to split the move into three phases and each time, the truck and crew arrived on time, ready to take specific instructions and get the truck loaded, travel & unload exactly to my request. Jake was an excellent communicator, straight-up guy, especially when I needed a last-minute date change that he accommodated. Friendly and super competent. Nothing got damaged, everything was set down where I wanted it. I recommend them most highly and feel welcomed to the neighborhood!

Workhorse Moving handled a complicated move situation for us with professionalism and ALOT of hard work! It was extremely hot on the move days and their crew was up in a second story shop with little ventilation and they worked so hard. Casey and crew (sorry I didn't catch the others) were outstanding especially considering how difficult the conditions and the type of items that needed to be moved were. We highly recommend Workhorse Moving and hope we never need them again ? but if we do need movers they'd be our first call hands down.

Jake, KC and the whole team were so efficient and a pleasure to work with, everything was timely from communication to scheduling and the onsite team was very efficient and careful with the load / unloading. Would 10/10 recommend and will use in all my moves in the future.
