I had a very disappointing experience with “Your Budget Moovers”. The service was under my wife’s name initials MT. Address in 124 W Shepherd Ridge Ln. Mooresville, NC 28117. I initially booked three helpers, but only two arrived on time, with the third showing up an hour late. To make matters worse, they arrived without the proper equipment and had to leave to rent a dolly from a nearby store, causing further delays. And therefore, they started the job one hour after the scheduled time. And because of that and the lack of preparation and inefficiency, they went 30 minutes over my booked time—yet I was still charged for this extra time. On top of that, I had to reschedule my PODS pickup due to their delay, which cost me an additional $84 paid to PODs.
After arriving at my new place, I discovered several dents and broken pieces among my belongings, which was extremely frustrating. While the movers themselves were friendly and nice, the overall service was poorly managed. I would not recommend this company for any moving services.
Had a move from Charlotte to Wilmington, they handled everything carefully and neatly. Also were very supportive and helpful when I needed extra help. Defenitly recommend for any type of move needed!
Price quoted is exactly what you pay. The two guys that came to move our stuff handled with care and moved fast. The company was extremely friendly and professional.
My experience with Your Budget Movers at the Cornelius location was nothing short of a nightmare. I am only giving one star because it is required to make a post, but just know, it is actually 0 stars. The 'owner' Adam or whoever he is, displayed a level of nonchalance and disregard for customer satisfaction.
First, I was hit with an additional charge of $414.14, 4 days after the move, citing an additional stop that occurred. This claim is false. Prior to the move, I specifically discussed with Adam that we would make a stop at ExtraSpace storage (not even 2 minutes from my old apartment) to collect my remaining items. I told the movers that I would go back myself at a later time to retrieve my items. I discovered my new complex had on-site storage, so I directed the movers to unload items there that would not fit in my apartment. Because we did not stop at ExtraSpace, should this not have been considered the 'additional stop' that I already paid for? But no, the company still charged me for the ExtraSpace stop (that did not happen) plus, an add-on stop (the on-site storage). This was not a second stop; it was the same address, same building.
Furthermore, I was charged for 'additional time' allegedly spent unloading. This excuse is equally BS. The new complex has an elevator, and 22 floors. Why am I being charged for other people who live here who are using the elevator and prolonging the time. Not to mention, despite being promised an 8:00 AM start time, one mover didn't arrive until 9:00 AM, and the other at 9:50 AM. There was no apology, no explanation for the delay, and no respect for my time. I attempted to seek clarification from Adam via text, but received no response until my bank disputed the charges. Suddenly, he was eager to communicate. This lack of responsiveness and accountability is completely unacceptable.
The only positive aspect of this experience was the mover named Omar (apologies if misspelled), who diligently loaded the truck single-handedly for the first 50 minutes of the move. However, his efforts were overshadowed by the incompetence and unprofessionalism displayed by Adam and the company. I deeply regret trusting Your Budget Movers (Cornelius location). They have a history of similar complaints from other customers, which I unfortunately discovered too late. My advice to anyone considering their services: avoid amateurs like Your Budget Movers (Cornelius) who exploit customers for profit. Choose a reputable moving company instead. They epitomize poor communication, unjustified charges, and a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. This experience has been a costly lesson, and I urge others to learn from my mistake.
