If you can go with any other moving company please do… I called them yesterday evening right before there closing time to setup a move for 2 days from now then my apartment people called 20 minutes later rescheduling the date I tried to call back but they were closed I called this morning (after already paying a $50 deposit) and they told me to reschedule it will be $240 and to cancel it will be $360 they are taking hard earned money and doing no work at all I have a newborn trying to move into a new place explained this and they still charged me I have payed them $290 they haven’t done anything at all yet SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT OUT TO TAKE FROM HARD WORKING HONEST PEOPLE… GOD BLESS AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!
Did not enjoy this experience from start to finish. I actually went with this company because of the amazing reviews but the movers I got did not seem as experienced.
Let’s start from the top. I have a studio apartment …450-500 ft at that… so not much at all. The hardest was my bed/ bed frame/ 2 book cases/ 2 small love seats my tv and then literally just boxes of clothes books etc. the mover I think his name was Francis..he calls me a 1125 am even though I’m scheduled for 2 pm. He tells me “ hey we should be there at 11:45 …” i told him the time I was set for was 2 and he said “ yea I know but I got finished with my earlier project and was ready to come sooner.” So I told him no because I was still packing and would not be ready till 2. I get off the phone and I get a text from him saying “ hey I was tryna come early because the weather says it’s going to rain and we can’t really move in the rain… so can we come.” I repeat myself again and say listen we are not ready right now and I don’t want to be charged extra because you decided to show up sooner than the scheduled time. From that moment he was rude and difficult to work with. He showed up at 2 pm. I asked if he had extra boxes because we ran out. The movers moved pretty slow and I had about three more boxes and the original mover stated that he would not not be moving them because it wasn’t in the agreement. He said I had agreed to 15 boxes and they were now at 25 boxes. ( which was a lie that I confirmed after speaking with an agent at zip. I never told them a number of boxes) he then stormed off and said I can speak to the moving company and he was done. My partner let him in to our new spot and about 1 1/2 in he calls me and said “ we finished packing and need you to pay. I was originally quoted 400… the moved end quote was 860… and he estimated additional hours instead of waiting until he was actually done to then charge me. When I started asking questions he would get upset. He lied about being finished and was actually tryna get me to pay sooner because he claimed they needed to receive a payment before zip movers closed at 5 pm. I was so frustrated and irritated with his attitude that I just paid it so they could hurry up and go.

The two guys who moved me were slow as molasses. Dragged their feet the whole time and took long phone calls in between. I only had two bedrooms sets, 3 barstools and the rest boxes and small things and it took them almost 8 hours to move me about an hour away. I was quoted $600-$800 and it ended up being $1,200!!!! Since you pay hourly, they drag the time out. Not worth the price and I didn't not know about the $130 travel fee in addition to price. My sister and Mom are moving as well and I told them to use Zip when I received my quote but now told them run, do not use this company. My concerns were rubbed off by management. Very unhappy.
