Zippy Shell Of Central Florida

Nightmare!!! We contracted with Zippy Shell in June for a long-distance move, Colorado to Florida in August. Container to be delivered August 18 and picked up August 20. No container was ever delivered nor a call on their part as to why. We had to contact them. We had a family of three including a three-year-old, three dogs and grandparents and all our possessions to move out of a house that had been sold. Had to postpone our leave date and luckily was able to have a family member to rent a truck and drive our belongings to Florida, then fly him back. As you can only imagine this ordeal was extremely upsetting, stressful and costly. Never any feedback from Zippy Shell or any attempt to make it right.

Don’t work with this company. They have so many hidden fees that they don’t tell you about, and have been nothing but an inconvenience to us. They tell you everything you want to hear, and then tell you “it’s in the contract” when your upset that you had no idea about more fees. They’re storage that they offer/have you pay for starts as soon as they deliver your shell. THEY CHARGE STORAGE WHILE THEYRE DRIVING IT, on top of your base fee. They also charge you for gas after the fact, and take forever to deliver your pod. So with all these extra fees, what was the $4,200 that I spent going to? They said we would have it delivered on two certain dates, but 4 days before tell us it’ll be even later. Now we are out of a place to sleep and will have to spend even more money. Do not work with them, this is the worst company I’ve ever worked with.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS, KNIEVING, LYING, THEIVES! ONCE THEY GET YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, THEY TAKE WHATEVER THEY WANT AND TELL YOU IT'S IN THE CONTRACT! I REQUESTED HELP TO LOAD AND UNLOAD THE CAGE, WHICH COST ME ANOTHER $600.00 MY PROPERTY WAS DAMAGED AND THEY CLAIM IT'S IN THE CONTRACT THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE EITHER UNINTENTIONALY OR INTENTIONALY! THEY FURTHER STATE THAT ANY DAMAGE CLAIMS MUST BE PLACED AGAINST THE PACKERS OR UNLOADERS THAT HANDLED THE ITEMS! THEY HIRED THE PACKERS AND UNLOADERS! THEY WERE IN POSSESION OF MY PROPERTY! THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF MY PROPERTY! THIS IS A SCAM OPERATION! DO NOT DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH 1-800-PACKRAT! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE A GROUP OF RATS!!!!

It all started by them Giving me in accurate dimensions of the box which through packing it off a lot then to top it off I was charged more than initially quoted , and then I get to the new home and have to play the reschedule game on getting my furniture … I don’t recommend this company be really cautious of what they tell you .
