Zmax Movers

We had Zmax movers out today to move our daughter from 5th floor apartment to a townhouse and they were professional,
fast, and very nice. This is the 2nd time we have used Zmax and highly recommend.

LADIES BEWARE...I was told 'not to talk' when I expressed my concern about the movers who were to transfer my items from a storage unit to my fourth floor apartment.

I had concerns as soon as the two movers exited their truck in the morning to pick up my items at a storage facility. In preparation for the move, I told the owner that they were going to have to move my items up four flights of stairs as my complex had no elevators. I even agreed to pay extra to move heavy furniture.

Imagine my surprise when it was evident from the beginning that one of the movers appeared to lack any experience in moving. When I expressed my concern with the lead mover, he told me not to talk and also asked me if I 'hated' him. I leaned back in shock at the accusation, responding that I was expressing concerned for my items...that I had every right to express my concerns as a customer. It was clear they had problems moving my items from my storage unit which was the easy part. Imagine if they carried those same items up four flights of stairs which was more difficult.

The lead person then threatened me by saying he was going to contact his boss. Fine. I texted his boss my unhappiness at the false accusations levied against me and being told to 'shut up' with my concerns.

The boss indicated the two men were no longer going to help me as he was going to come to my storage unit to complete the move. Almost two hours later the owner and his cousin showed up to do so.

They apologized for the other person's behavior, admitting they previously told him to receive guidance in treating ladies because he had problems in the past when communicating with them. They admitted they knew he did not treat ladies with respect.

If that is the case, why assign him to be the lead mover for a lady? If they were aware that he treated ladies badly they shouldn't have assigned him to work with any lady...maybe not with anyone at all.

As a customer, I should not EVER be told to NOT talk when I am arranging and paying for my items to be moved. I have NEVER been told to 'shut up' and never expected it to happen when I advocated for myself.

Within hours after I paid them I realized they overcharged me for their services. And, they didn't even talk to me after finishing the move about paying for the damage done to an item the man broke earlier in the day.

If you are a lady who does decide to hire these people make sure you do NOT work with a person on their staff who the owner clearly stated a number of time treated ladies poorly. I will NEVER forget the shock at that horrible treatment.

Zmax Movers is exactly the moving company we needed and were looking for! Getting an estimate and setting up an appointment was clear and easy. The movers arrived on time and were friendly, polite and professional. They clearly knew what they were doing and best of all, they didn't rush and were careful with our furniture. We had used a different company for our previous move a year ago and they rushed and damaged our furniture. We will definitely use them again when we move in a few years.
