I had used the company several times in the past with good results, therefore they earned good reviews and my business with this recent move. This recent move was not the "five star experience" that I expected. I filled out the review card accordingly - the rating reflects the service I received. I kept getting called by a Christine who wanted to apologize and wanted to know how to make things right - but when I stated that I wasn't going to change my rating because I was disappointed (not angry as it was implied), the tone changed. While explaining my points of view, it became a deflection seminar (cameras on the truck did not indicate stealing) and the old "I'm sorry, what did you say, you're breaking up" routine began. At that point, it confirmed that what mattered was having the rating changed (probably to meet a performance or sales goal of some sort), and not addressing my issue. Bottom line: I did not get the value of service that I paid for and expected from past experience, therefore you get the rating that reflects the experience (the actual service plus the followup sales "apology" call). Don't bother with the standard "we'll do better on your next move" reply - I'll take my business elsewhere.
If you are planning on moving, this is the company to hire. We just completed a cross country move with I-Go Van and Storage. Jeff Nogg was fantastic to work with throughout the process - timely in his responses, excellent attention to detail, professional communication. The crew in Omaha (Scot & Team) was probably the best we've encountered in the 12+ moves we've done over the years - careful, friendly, hard working. Highly recommended. Five stars from us!
Originally had a delivery scheduled for Wednesday and there was no communication regarding a delay in delivery. They just took it upon themselves to reschedule for Thursday. I had to contact 3 different people and spend almost an hour on the phone with only the option to leave a voicemail. I finally contacted the shipper for a resolution. I would not recommend this company.
These guys are great. They were under a time crunch and did all they could to get everything loaded. The are professional and careful. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is after I got to my destination to unload, I found that some items that were marked not to lay flat were played flat. Highly recommend them for loading and unloading your household goods.
After contacting just about every Lincoln area moving service, I hired them to move my parents stuff from Florida to Nebraska. The price was good and the service was great. They were careful, respectful and courteous while moving items out of my parents old house and into their new apartment. They were also very flexible about scheduling. When a medium size piece of glass that sits on top a dresser broke while being unloaded, they informed us immediately, apologized and delivered a replacement within a day or two. I would definitely use them again.
Very efficient. Lincoln Nebraska hometown crew was friendly, helpful, efficient and careful. Scheduling was simple and met my needs even when I had to change load time. The whole process was easier than I expected it to be. Thanks Julie, Rebecca and Donny.
When I booked the service, they did not tell me that they would arrive during a range of time. When they called to try to move my time (which I couldn't do), they did not tell me there was a range of time in which they might arrive. At 10 am I got a call saying it was my 30-minute window. I now have a 30 minute wait at a storage unit - a block from their business. I can literally see their trucks parked there. When we say a 10 am pick up, it's not unreasonable to expect a close-to-10 pick up. So frustrating!!!
I called to set up an appointment and had to call back several times before one could be scheduled. No-one seemed to have a record of our request. Finally, we had the home visit, and were promised a bid - we never got one or a call or anything. I would have gone with them because of the free box thing. Even if you are busy, it is just bad customer service.
I've been working with Wink Smith & his team for every move I've made over the last 15 years. Not only are they professional and reliable, they're easy to work with and, across the board, incredibly kind and friendly. My things arrived in excellent shape and in a timely fashion. Wink went out of his way to make my move easy as it could be, and I knew my drivers from years ago--they feel like family, because they basically are. Moving is stressful--and, at the risk of sounding cheesy, Select really makes it easier.
