You guys really should rethink your PR and customer relations strategy that you have going on. One doesn’t need to dig deep into reviews to see what kind of company you’re running. “This is the kind of thanks we get..” seriously, that’s your response? A junior high kid would have more tact than that. You have no leg to stand on when claiming you recommended two trucks. You didn’t do an in-home consultation that’s an industry standard and your own mover said I was right about the work bench and remaining items. And if by a “few lighter items” you mean an entire box of expensive speakers left in the basement, a large box of expensive decorations and two lamps left in the master bedroom, a large box of clothing left at the top of the stairs, and multiple large items in the garage including an expensive baby bassinet, then sure, you can run with that. I asked one time about a blog collaboration that would put your business in front of over 700,000 people. You said no so I didn’t push and just moved ahead as normal. I bet you guys were really excited to try and throw shade at a blogger with that comment though. Looking at your reviews now, you really could have used some good PR. ORIGINAL POST: Let me start by saying the quality of the packers was amazing. They were very talented at filling every inch of the truck. My problem was with their customer service around a packing decision. The movers told me that our load was going to be tight so I told them not to pack my work bench if it got close. I went out to run errands and came back to them having packed the work bench and leaving several important boxes around the house and garage. The items left out were important and expensive, so I couldn’t just leave them. The next day I had to scramble to find a trailer hitch for my car, get it installed, and find a U-haul to rent. This was a nightmare and cost me an additional $1000. It delayed my drive a full day and made my wife have to cancel her vacation. When we got to our new home, the mover that drove the truck admitted that we would have been able to get everything if we left the work bench behind. I called the main office to ask for some sort of reimbursement for the U-haul and/or trailer hitch since their own mover admitted to the mistake. They refused to take responsibility claiming they recommended two trucks (they never actually came out to view my property and actually only quoted me for one truck) and instead decided to just not respond to my emails. On top of all the fiasco, they failed to add a $500 discount that was agreed to before the move. I had to ask multiple times over the span of several weeks before they finally credited my card. Terrible, unprofessional service. I would highly discourage anyone with a decent size move from using this company.
We were extremely happy with Bailey's! They were on time and went above and beyond to insure that all of our antiques and furniture were wrapped and moved with care! Very professional and friendly! Made sure to call and offer any assistance we needed. I will definitely use them again!
