Taos Moving Companies 2025

So my husband and I have literally been renting a storage from hinds and hinds north in Taos NM since 2022 . We recently added a second storage in November. Finally making our way back up to NM to our house we own out here we decided to make a trip to our units. Apparently the gate access for entry and exit lock at 6pm 7 days a week. We were unaware. I thought if you enter before 6pm that when you type your code to exit the gate should open. NOPE IF ITS PAST 6PM ANY DAY OF THE WEEK - IT WILL SAY ' LATE EXIT DENIED' WHAT?? Okay so I remember this happing to us a few years back and us calling u haul since that's who hinds and hinds Co partners with , I told them the situation, they gave me a late exit code , I paid 20$ extra on my bill for it . No big deal right? Well fast forward to current day. Well like 2or 3 days ago. Same situation happens. Except that when I call this time, they find my account just fine. But tell me that there is no such thing as a late exit code?? Huh??? Well what are we suppose to do? The u haul employee puts me on hold for over 30 mins - minds you it's about 8pm now. Cold as F'*** out side. My husband and I are freezing . Our Lincoln Navigator packed down with a stuff from our storage - finally the women returns back on the phone and says she can't help us . That she is with the u haul national data system and there is nothing she can do?? I call hinds and hinds officer # - no answer. The managers # no answer. I leave a message explaining my emergency situation- NO CALL BACK. Everyone I call say they can't help us??? So my husband and I say in our car parked right in front of the gate next to the box you type your code at all night long freezing . Until morning around 8am when in code finally stopped saying late exit denied and finally said thank you Kisha have a nice day!!! Im seriously pissed. I feel that was illegal!! I know they saw us on the camera. We pay a lot of money there to store our belongings and this is how we are treated? Locked in their facility against our will. There has got to be some kinda law they broke right? Or is it perfectly legal to lock you customers in if there late exing from somewhere they pay to store their things at??

The owner and crew were punctual, friendly, and efficient. Worked steadily till the job was done. Couldn't have been better.

I rented a U-Haul online and it said I could pick up 24 hours. When I called to confirm a week in advance they said you cant pick it up when they're closed so we had to change our plans. Then they called again to tell us they didn't have the vehicle we rented at the location we rented from. Seems like the website does not match reality, which is not surprising in Taos but it is annoying.
