Moved my 86 year old Mom from 4 bdrm country home outside of Cortland to 2 bdrm townhouse in town. Movers arrived promptly at 9:30 as promised and after a tour of her house pointing out all the furniture to be moved, everything was carefully carried to the truck. Beds and dressers dismantled, antique furniture protected and transported with professional care. All members of the moving team were courteous and worked quickly, completing the loading in just under 2 hours. Upon arrival at the townhouse, everything was moved into place, beds and dresser mirrors reassembled and even though the team had completed the move, several men even helped my husband unload and bring in several boxes we had packed in the car. Very thoughtful and appreciated! I highly recommend this company to anyone facing a move. The team completed a lot of hard work in a short time at a very reasonable price.
I needed a moving company to move strictly my large furniture items. I was handling all of the small boxed items myself as I had time. This was in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis so I was concerned about exposure. While there isn't a lot you can do once people come in and start handling everything, they did wear masks. They were incredibly friendly and professional. I would recommend them for any of your moving needs. The cost was great as it was at an hourly rate and I could estimate it based on the 4 man crew they had brought. I would absolutely use them again.
Top Notch. I went to Rogers for a tricky delivery of heavy equipment. They responded quickly to my request, provided drop shipment receiving, and delivered and placed everything flawlessly. Reliable. Very friendly people. They go the extra mile (no pun intended).
I used Hired Hands for a move from Ithaca to Massachusetts. I'm not entirely thrilled with how things went, but nothing was broken. The guys who loaded the truck were in a hurry to get to their dates, so my things weren't handled with care, which made me nervous. Most everything was loaded in two hours (although I paid for three), but there was still a LOT of stuff left. We had to end up renting an SUV to take the remaining things. We were also asked "are you wanting to keep that?" for several items... yes, we want to keep everything we own! When everything arrived, it was covered in black dirt, and some white pieces of furniture still haven't come clean a week later. Almost every piece of wooden furniture I own is chipped and/or scratched. They said they had blankets to help protect things, but the bros trying to get to their dates must not have used them. That being said, the guys who drove the truck and unloaded it were fantastic and were able to unload in less than 2 hours (again, although I paid for 3 hours).
The teams Dimon and Bacorn hired in Big Flats and North Port, FL., for our recent move, especially the driver Jason, did a fantastic job. The team in Big Flats very efficiently loaded our goods there. They arrived on time, worked hard and worked especially well together. In Florida, Jason was on time, the team there worked hard and efficiently to remove our goods off the truck and in to our storage unit. A special call out to our driver Jason. He was on time in both locations. He kept us informed of status. He worked very well with both teams. Both teams separately complimented him and expressed their appreciation to work with him. Our goods were all accounted for with no appreciable damage. I would be happy to recommend Jason and both teams for future work.
Very accommodating with my situation. Closing postponed. The only negative I have to say is that they(United) were aware I was storing my items but said nothing of unwrapping wrapped items. Had the 3rd party delivery company and I knew we would have not used moving blankets and saved time. The 3rd party movers were excellent and friendly courteous and accommodating.
I understand not putting furniture in a home (which I paid wayfair for) due to the pandemic but the employee was a complete jerk about it, plus they didn’t seem to concerned they weren’t wearing masks! Thankfully wayfair gave me a refund and some but absolutely annoyed with the attitude from one of the delivery guys. “I don’t know what to tell you”. I apologize that I weigh 100 pounds and my father has a heart condition, only asked them to push it a few feet into the living room.
